Castrol Synthetic German Blend and Mobil 1 Synthetic are the most popular around here.

very true..i use mobil 1 5w-30 full synthetic and a pf-52 oversized ac delco filter

i would suggest changing the oil yourself, it is a very simple thing to do once you learn and it will save you a lot of money in the future

1. remove plastic piece under car held on by two wing nuts
2. use 15mm wrench and from the passenger side, pull towards you and unscrew the nut in the oil pan and drain all the oil
3. replace the oil pan nut
4. remove oil filter located near passenger side; just look up
5. take new filter and lube the top gasket and thread with some oil and replace the old one (hand tightening will suffice here)
6. replace plastic piece under car
6. put in 4.5 quarts of new oil and start the car to let the oil fill up in the oil filter then add more till it reads full on the dip stick

that should be all, feel free to add if i missed something

Mobil 1 5w-30 here. I have the dealership change my oil, that way i don't have to dispose of the used oil and filter myself. But each of you have your own opinion, I just think it's easier this way for me.

Who takes old oil? I've got a bucket full in the garage, and I'm not really up for dumpin' it in the field behind the house, but I have no idea where to take it.

There is NO Castrol Synthetic German BLEND

Made in Germany - Castrol Syntec 0W30 synthetic motor oil is PAO/Ester based.
[The other grades that are North American made Castrol Syntec are a hydro-cracked dino Group III base oil; that some don't consider a real synthetic oil.]

GERMAN Castrol Syntec 0W30 synthetic motor with a NAPA Gold over-sized (similar in size to a AC Delco PF-52) that is made by WIX oil filter

I think my 2nd choice would be Mobil 1 0w40 synthetic motor oil.

In the past: I have used Mobil 1 5W30 & 10W30 synthetic motor oil.
