doesnt matter how old it is... just clean it up and it will look like new... if i where you why its out i would take the baffles out that airbox and sand it down to make it smooth if your looking for performace.

Just some basic info that a quick search could yeild you, Ram Air isn't worth any gains at all, a cold air setup would be much more effective.

Yea, it works, but its not any better than the setup on the SE. There is no "gain" from it.

Won't be functional. You have a better path for air and a cool place to draw it from with a CAI. Everybody has a different opinion, and on a stock car, its not going to matter much anyways. Consider this though, if there are so many people with ram air pieces to sell, what are they using instead, and why? Catchy my drift?

the ram air is amazing, gave me like 25 horse to the wheels. it almost felt like a turbo when you got up into the 7000 RPMs. the cold air, i dono it's ok i tried it on my car once too, it only added like 5-10 horse and didn't even work when i was in the 7000 RPM range.. it was weird.

Ram Air zero, cold air very little.. Cold air does have the benifit of cold air. Cooler air promotes more stable combustion, so you're less likely to see knock retard. Colder air also carries more oxygen than hot air, so you can add more fuel to it. So, you're going to keep the air coming in at a better temp, and it does outflows the stock setup in the higher RPMs, but not too much.

they both get air from the front of the car, just because the cais piping is bigger i guess and the filter is bigger.
