New Exhaust!!

got the cat and the resonator taken off. It sounds good on the outside but its annoying on the inside (sounds like a ricer on the inside and a V8 on the outside) what should I do to make the inside sound lower I can still put the resonator back on or the cat but I cant do both any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

the pics are before and after sorry if some came out bad i used my cellphone to take the pics

i would start with the resonator....that should help...if not...you can always add a cat later

my neighbor opened up a new muffler shop so i only paid 100 we are experimenting to see what sounds good. i think we might take the muffler off and put a camro muffler on it.

not feelin the tips... nothing on the ga is square... so im confused as to why you chose those?

on a side note, imy 97 3.1 i did 40 series flows w/ no cat or resonator... it was hella loud, sounded like a V8 at idle w/ a cam... but yes, it was pretty loud inside... but i liked it hella mucho!

dont get P'ed when someone flames your exhaust when you say it sounds ricey yourself... yer just not makin any sense... its one thing to test mufflers out when you got FREE means to do so, but if your paying for each install, then you get the CHODE award....

all things aside, look at the bright side, at least you dont got fart cannons on there... so thats a plus in my book...

Well I’m sorry unctype I took it the wrong way I had a bad day but anyway I guess I shouldn’t have used ricey when I was talking about the sound resonating in my car. I was trying to get people to understand it sounds different in my car than I does outside. When I let my friend drive my car I loved how it sounded but when I drove it sounded totally different then what I heard outside (sorry if I confused anyone) All the stuff I’m getting done I don’t have to pay for. Like I said earlier my neighbor has a new shop and he wants to experiment to see what sounds good so I’m all for it.

^^ I see what your saying...

My magnaflow sounds diff on the inside than on the outside

Inside: mellow and bassy n smooth

Outside: throaty with a great snarl when I get on it.

In other words, the tones diff cuz of the resonation. I think my exhaust sounds 10 times better on the inside than out especially when i get on it, but i do like it on the outside

Magnaflow camaro muffler with 3.5 inch stainless dual tips...stock pipes and resonator...I regret not goin full catback but it was all I could afford at the time. I'm thinnkin about savin up this summer tho and gettin some SLP pipes and doin the same thing you did cuz I feel my exhaust is too quiet and I want some more performance out of it
