Wink got a new beater / project car

Here it is.. my new POS

all the pics are here

1984 Fiero SE, 4 speed w/ the Iron Duke. This car was originally my uncles (bought new in 84), my cousin sold it to his neighbor about 3 years ago with ~32k on the odometer. 29,000 miles later it's back in the family.. It was always in the garage till about 3 years ago so it's in good condition. Motor and trans are good but the brakes are getting replaced this weekend, as well as a leaky water pump. The AC components look like they were changed recently as they are pretty damn new.

It's dirty, not the prettiest thing by far, but it's a fun little car to get me back and forth around town, and once I have a garage or driveway to park it in, it's motor swap time. for now not going to do much to it, just get it in good mechanical condition and clean it up a bit.

i thought that was the v6s .. the heat shield for the wiring harness near the firewall or something was too close to the exhaust mani's and caught fire. I dunno. it was recalled so many times in the first 30k miles that my uncle never had to go for an oil change

yeah yeah I know.. about 4 days before I was going to walk next door and take care of that, I found out they're moving my dept to Denver and I'm getting laid off in the fall unless I want to move. I'm not too worried about finding work but it's just not prudent to go and get a 32k car without a guaranteed job yanno??? so after all the demodding.. stuck with a stock GA for the summer

Good stuff Seth. We have some work to do now. Eh.....You always have to be a jerk huh. Nobody picks on your piece of crap car do we. So why do you always insist on thinking you are a GOD and make fun of everyone elses stuff. Grow up.

HOW DID I MAKE FUN OF HIS CAR!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!

i said he could provide comic relief rolling up in that car to a pontiac meet, and amraam said the fiero came with a lambo kit, it comes with a ferrari kit... i happen to like that yellow fiero fyi i had it book marked...

... i wasnt ragging on his car, im just saying if it was really a project car there are a lot of options out there, so why dont you at least make an attempt to read wha ti say before assuming im putting him down...

edit: god damn you really ****ed me off making it like im some kind of monster attacking seth, the thread said new project/beater and i used both ends of that spectrum, saying it would be funny to roll up to a pontiac meet in a beater, and saying that for a project car he could get the ferrari body kit on there....

i still dont understand how i attacked his car and made malicious remarks towards him, yet you sit there and dont say anything about him making fun of my hubcaps - and i didnt get all ****y when he said that because i sincerely dont believe it was typed out in a fit of rage...

Eh, it was Kyle that said Lambo, and I didnt find what you said to be an attack in any way... I think someones panties are riddin' a lil tight tonight, thats all (though you do know you have a tendancy to rip on others). It's all good though.

Anyway, those pics are SWEET. I had no idea people have done that kinda stuff to Fieros.

Seth, have fun with that baby. Now I kinda want a beater, but hell, who am I kidding? I only have eyes for one girl. (That was so gay.)
