actually, less than one week. Miami, players arrive Sunday, first meeting and practice is Monday morning. Ronnie Brown won't be there because he has no contract yet (waiting on Alex Smith's to judge the market ), but Ricky will be allowed to come back a couple days early in order to start from the first day. Will be interesting to see him, there haven't been any pictures floating around of him since December.

The rest of the NFC might as well not even play....The Eagles have no challengers this year.

it was a joke....lighten up. Anything can happen in an NFL season. The Eagles do have a good shot though.

I heard this on the radio driving to work today. That sucks. I don't like the Pats, but I like Bruschi, sometimes.... Every player should have his never say die attitude.

I predicted the Pats wouldn't do nearly as good when they lost both coordinators...this sure doesn't help.

Winners always seem to bring the most hate. I don't know if you're ever on any pats message boards but the eagles one is overun by falcons, dallas, and giants fans.

That's because winners bring out a fan base that now consists of 50% composition of bandwagon riders or locals in that teams area who could have given a sh1t when the team was losing. Then those 50% proceed to act/speak like douchebags toward other fans.

The eagles may not be that great either. TO is still arguing about his contract and will hold out of training camp. The way TO trains it should not matter, but it is still a problem.

Ricky is allowed to come back? I thought drug users weren't allowed to play.

exactly. I will be surprised if TO plays for awhile, which leaves them a crap WR corp again. Pinkston sucks and Greg Lewis and Reggie Brown are unproven. TE position is average. Offensive line is good, and their DB field is good. However, their LB is average at best, their DL is average at best, unless Simon shows up all they have is Kearse. Then, Westbrook is a good all around back, but far from a workhorse RUSHER that you need. Teams will force the Eagles to run the ball this year and they are going to need someone who can get them 1200yds on the ground....Westbrook aint that back. You see what happened in the Super Bowl when they didn't have a workhorse rusher to control the clock and pound it.

Eagles should have drafted a stud RB and moved Westbrook to WR. A personnel man around the league last season said that Westbrook could be a top 10 WR in the league if he played that position solely.

where have you been, under a rock? Half the NFL is drug users...as is the NBA...and MLB. Anyway, Ricky said 2 months ago he was returning. He has been off the chronic for months now do to his Holistic medicine and Yoga spiritualism...they forbid it and he would not be allowed to practice and be certified if he was doing it. Also, Ricky entered back into the NFL drug testing system a month and half ago, early, so that he would be allowed to return on time at the start of camp (technically he couldn't return until July 28, but the NFL waived 4 days so he could start the first day).

Unfortunately it looks like Ronnie Brown is going to miss some time. Not because he is being a jerk, it seems like he is a great human being, but because of the business aspect. God forbid an AGENT allows a player to sign a contract worked out solely on client-team negotiating They have to wait for Alex Smith to sign before they can fall in line. The 49ers don't start camp until the 28th
