yea ive been meaning to get some new tips, im not a big fan of them either. I dont remember how much the coolant flush was becuase i got all that stuff done at the same time and it was a hefty bill, i think the fuel system and new filter was the bulk of it though.

Tranny flush. 50k is the limit I would go without doing one, so your due. Not a pan drop either, get a full flush. Usually arond $80. PCV valve is worth check, its cheap and easy to replace.

i'd check the fuel filter and replace it along with the pcv valve coolant and tranny flush. don't wanna wait to long to flush the tranny otherwise the flush may end up hurting more then helping.

Sell your car while it still has a smidge of value.

This is the best advice I've heard all year.. GM N-bodies have a tendency to transform into rolling money-pits later in life.. NOT ALL OF THEM... but some do.

Preventive maintenance...yes, yes, and yes. ANY car will turn into a rolling money-pit if you don't take care of it. Do all that stuff on a timely basis. As Atc said...get the transmission flushed. Some jack-a recommended i wait till 150K. Glad I got a second opinion. Be sure to have ur fuel filter changed. Somehow mine never got changed and now it's rusted on. Now I get to go to the dealer.

What kind of resell are you expecting?!?! ...it's a GA.

Only things I've put into my car other than regular maintenence in the past 4 years of ownership (I got it used at 32k) are a set of LIM gaskets, a walbro 255, tires,a window motor and front pads/rotors.

When you start counting on N-body wheel bearings, blower resistors, BCMs, brakes (Oh god the brakes), and strut mounts.. it adds up rather quickly.

Well my hard-driven GA has 75k miles and besides regular maintainance, the only thing that went out is LIM gasket.

Telling someone to get rid of his car that has less than 60k miles isn't intelligent in my opinion.

In no way did I tell BoodabulB to get rid of hs car. I was replying to Rba007's comment about selling his car while it still retains some value. No he shouldn't really sell his GA. Oh, and I haven't even installed the Walbro fuel pump yet... I plan to do so within the next month because my stock pump is well on its way out and I can't afford to be stranded.

However, N-bodies tend to have problems later in life that rack up pretty large repair bills. Alot of these things aren't preventable (hub bearings failing or BCMs adopting ghosts).

P.S. I have 106k on my car right now. I drive the **** out of it and I know it'll last well past 150k.
