Getting rid of nasty scratches

I replaced the carpet in my livingroom with laminate flooring. When dragging all that old carpet out to the side of the house, part of the bottom of it brushed against my fender and bumper, and left some terrible scratches in the paint:

I thought for sure I'd have to get it repainted, because the scratches appeared to cut pretty deep. I was pretty upset, then a guy at work told me about products that eliminated scratches in the paint. I went to Canadian Tire, and picked these up because they came with a money-back guarantee that they'd work:

I went over the scratches dozens of times in small areas until I was satisfied with the results. It took me a few hours, but this is the end result:

I spent more time on the fender scratches since the bumper already has scratches from daily wear and tear and thus didn't need to be perfect. I'm completely sold on this stuff now.

I have to try that! I just got a huge scratch right down the passenger side door of my trailblazer last weekend. I was driving down this dirt road and there was a dog. I stopped and my girlfriend started talking to it. It jumped up on my door, and that was that

^^I used scratch-X for a LONG time till i read a post here about KITT. I figured hey its $3 ill try it. Ill never use scratch-X again. Since your 16 you most likely havent tried to many brands of anything on vehicles yet. Just an observation.

I got it at autozone. Its a little yellow bottle. Its enough to do the entire car probably 3 times. It costed me $2-$3. Very cheap stuff. Thats why i tried it. I figured if it dont work i wont be upset becuase it was cheap.

Did you actually go over your ENTIRE car at once with that stuff? Just curious, never thought to really go over the entire car, but I suppose then it would be an even playing field that way.

Yes my entire car.
wash with dawn dish soap, dry, mothers clay bar the entire car one section at a time, wash and dry again, kitt the entire car one section at a time, wax. Take your time and dont rush any of those steps.
This will take your ENTIRE day. You have to plan an entire day for this. I only do this twice a year.

the right way would be to wet sand(if they are deep enough to feel) with 2000 grit, then buff with a variable speed(id suggest 1500rpm or so), then polish(1400rpm should be fine). works awesome.
