My W30 Alero

Ok well, now the majority is done there is still a poopload of little stuff i have to do (exp. scuff windows, mount real w-30 emblems, figure out the red fenderwells, other w30 stuff, tint windows, double check body fitment, make custom centercaps, etc)

YES, EVERYTHING YOU SEE ON THE CAR IS PAINTED, THERE IS NO CHEAP ASS VYNAL, ALL THE GRAPHICS ARE PAINTED ON..........

COLOR: Aegean Aquapoly, a 1970 442 w-30 only special order color
WHEELS: 17x8, 29.5 offest (fits perfect), THEY ARE OEM MUSTANG RIMS
TIRES: 255/50/17 Kuhmo Ecsta 711s
SUSPENSION: Eibach lowering springs
ENGINE: currently under construction

snapped some shots yesterday morning these are just a few of my favorites......

Proof is in the pics right?

Make sure you check out the other pics in my cardomain especially the comparison pic between the stock 225/40/16 and 255/40/17 tires i have now.....

OH AND A BIG, BIG THANX TO GEORGE AT LUBY CHEVROLET
AND A BIGGER THANX TO MIKE (N2O-OLDS) FOR HELPING ME OUT WITH MY ALERO ALL THE TIME SINCE I MOVED TO DENVER AND MORE IMPORTANTLY FOR SHOWING ME THIS COLOR!!!!!!!

The Grand Ams and Aleros have a 5x115mm bolt pattern, but will also take a 5x114.3mm wheel which is the same as a 5x4.5" bolt pattern (mustang)

And they are cheap! I payed like $847 for all 4 rims and tires brand new

beefy tires too.......255/40/17

hmmm interesting. so i assume that since the paint is done that all body work is complete? why not build a w30 hood? what really makes it a w30, other than you calling it that? just curious.

you know what happens when you assume things, I am still working on a 442 hood to go on the car, we mixed extra paint so when the hood is done that will go on there as well...

w-30 info.....here

what i carried onto my car was a cross of the 442 alero concept car and a 1970 442 w30......

obvious things though would be paint, red fenderwells, and also when i am done with my engine i would like to be as fast or faster than stock a stock w30 (low 14s, high 13s)

I wish it was "cheap ass vinyl", so the graphics could be removed.

I like the fact that the headlights are color matched to the body, but I hate the color. The rims look solid.

Red fenderwells?!?

I think the color is something you either love or hate, and me being a true oldsmobile enthusiast I love it.

Red fenderwells were stock on the 442 w30, it was another trademark to the w30 cars.......

That color is pretty hot, not crazy about the side graphic, but at least it's painted. Painted graphics > vinyl. Nice work! I still can't believe those Mustang rims bolt right up, they look pretty good on there!

I've always really liked the style of the American Racing Torque thrusts...but I just can't decide if they fit the character of our cars (ga's and Alero). I'd need to see more pics that allow me to see the style and shape of the wheels with the car. The pics above make the wheels just look black with the polished lip. I have been wondering about that style for my car though... and now that I know Mustang wheels will work...it gets the gears turnin. Nice work though.
