Where to go for truck parts?

I need to replace a few things, and JCwhitney is too generic in its parts listings. Any advice from anyone, becuase I suck at googling.

Umm Check out JCwhitney actually order there catalog its free and has alot of part for everything u could think. Check out Jegs too. Register for that site i told u about and post up in the s10 section.

Can anyone explain to me what the fock a lift shackle does? I know it lifts the truck, but where and how, and is adding a rear leaf a better idea instead?

Dude....man.....dude, its an s-10. Go to ANY parts store in your area, i could build a new s-10 from the parts i can buy at just parts stores.

Its not the CURRENT S10, this is the boxey style, not nearly as large of an aftermarket!

But good point.

Now what the fock and how the fock does a lift shackle work?!

Lift shackle is nothing more then a piece of Steal used to lift ur Truck,It sits on top of the leaf springs. I think. Not sure i would have to look at ur truck to see if its set the same as my Silverado, But ya a lift kit for my truck would cost about 400 bucks. Just using spindle's and u can only used those on 2wd 4wd is a hole different set-up. its also cheaper then a "Full lift kit"

Well I havent seen any lift spindles, only drop spindles for the S10.

What I have seen however, is a full lift kit that has longer front coil springs, and a 1" lift shackle for the rear leaf springs, and I would then do an "add-a-leaf" lift to even it out and reinforce the old worn leaf set. Total cost w/o shocks is about $300, and about $500 with some DAMN GOOD shocks. I think that will be the route I take. Do you know of any good brands Jason?
