Aren't they starting to dilute their lineup by makings all of the Lexuses look the same and have similar features? Seems like the IS, ES, GS, and LS are all going for the same thing.

The oval center cluster is definately the ugliest of the Lexus interior designs.

where the hell have you been?

but i agree, Lexus is started to fall in my book, the interiors look TERRIBLE, they look like MB's old interiors, just black and plain and boring and alot of buttons. All these cars to me now look EXACTLY the same.

This ES interior looks better color -wise but that oval is pretty gross

actually...I believe it's a rebadged camry

I like it, the center console oval thing I could probably get over real quick, seeing as how I love the new Lexus interiors

but...if I did have a choice between this car and an M35?? I'd take the M35, that car is just drop dead gorgeous!

Have you guys ever heard of family resembalance or corporate look? That is what BMW does, Mercedes, and Infiniti. Lexus is doing the right thing by incorporating certain cues that are similar across the line. It's part of the L-finesse design philosphy. This design language signifys that it is a Lexus.

The M35/45 is not the competitor for this car. The Lexus GS competes with the Infiniti M. The Lexus ES is targeting the Acura TL.

I like it. Looks much better than the last model. I kinda like the oval-shaped center console too. Its different, but not in a freak way.

There's a fine line you have to walk between a family resemblence and lack of effort as far as styling goes. All the cars look the same, and that is a bad thing. Lexus interiors are among the nicest in the business, but when your $35,000 ES can be confused for a $65,000 LS from 100 feet away your stylists haven't tried nearly enough.

I don't see what you see. The ES is different enough not to be mistaken with a LS or IS.

That gold color is really bad. Also, the gauge cluster looks really bad, similar to some of Ford's latest tries. The front end is looking pretty nice. Who is still using tape players, and why is Lexus catering to them- that kind of shows who this car is geared towards.

AND NOW the all new Buick Lucerne with the Northstar V8, thats something the Lexus ES350 DOESN'T have. I love commercials.

but yeah, I think Buick has something going with the Lucerne. A very nice flagship for them!

Not so sure about this ES350 though.

You do realize the Lexus V6 matches or outperforms Buick's V8 right?

I don't know. I'm gonna have to see some performance numbers to fully believe that one. The Northstar V8 is a beautiful engine that isn't actually a Buick motor. Its a Cadillac motor. Besides, I think I'm liking the Lucerne more and more every time I see one....which seems to be about once or twice a week now. Either way, I think I might just start being biased against imports, if for no other reason than it bucks the trend of todays younger generation. You know, Import automatically means quality, domestic automatically means crap...... even though most major statistics say otherwise....... except of course for the popularity contest statistic.

.........Alrighty then; Let the flaming begin.
