Calendar Shot? Maybe...maybe not

Here is the picture I took with my Nikon SLR camera. I dunno if it qualifies as a calendar picture, but I just thought it turned out cool.

Note, its a lil over 500kb beware..

Not a calendar shot and the quality is horrable.

Haven't you people ever picked up a professionally made car calendar and seen the shots? Do they look like this?

The shot is cool, but the quality is pretty bad.

You guys are kidding right?

Personally, I think its a great shot with a good application of depth-of-field work. What you guys don't understand is that the foreground and background are SUPPOSED to be out of focus.

^ Yeah, I agree.. 'artsy' pics on this site just aren't usually as accepted.. most of ya'll tend to really dig the run of the mill grassy shots, where half the car is cut off, nasty light leaks, randumb parts of other objects are included [i.e. curbs, stop signs, etc].. unless a different shot is executed perfectly amazing.

I think the shot itself is pretty cool, n I like how the badge is slightly off-center, n still the center of attention. I think it's a great photo, kinda grainy, but I like that sometimes.. the only thing that really bugs the hell outta me is that u can totally see ur reflection - gah. n it's not where u blend in with the rest of the treeline behind u, which is fine, but I can see ur shoulder, head, arm, n camera!

I like the picture. It's a little different. I agree that I don't really want to see your reflection in it, tho.

Very cool idea 01GT, I know that GURU wants different shots this time not just every day side shots in front of nice cut grass. I also saw Jeremy ask a kid if he has his avatar in a high resoluation shot. Its just of the rim very close looking back (I think its really neat).

I'm taking alot of my pics this sunday (after I do the 3-step mothers clay-bar system) and am hopeing to get some "different" shots and then also the regulars. We'll see what happens.

Thats what i was thinking. I started reading all the posts people made about it and i was shocked at the responses. This pick gets my vote.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

It doesn't matter what the 20 of us who know nice shots when we see them say or vote on because it won't outweight the other 400 that just say, "man thats just the side of the car, and its out of focus too!!"
