Graham... don't let yourself suffer because of that civic. That's what the owner wants. Admit it was a good race and then ask what he has under the hood. More likely to get an answer. I know nothing of the car but I'm sure mommy and daddy funded it unless the guy is in his early 30s and has a penchant for ****ing off domestic owners.

I doubt anyone knows who this guy is. Theres a lot of civics running very low times that no one gives praise to. The slower ones just get more attention for certain reasons ...

I got my ass handed to me by a CRX. There must have been a "club" or something there that day. Almost all of them where runing between 15.5 and 16.9. I was stomping the poop out of them. Then i lined up with the ugliets of them all. His CRX was literally fallin apart. The front facia was being held on by bungie cords, no side skirts at all, fenders covered in rust, cracked rear windshield etc. Soon as the light went i jumped 3 cars on him and as soon as i got to the half way mark he screamed by me like i was standing still. I couldnt belive it. He ran a 12.2. I have the slip here somewhere. I wasnt mad at all, i was amazed.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

Yea, I guess for what you're used to, it's cold. It's like -15 here with windchill, so I think of that as kinda cold.

And don't even get me started on heat. It gets humid as hell up here, so it'll be 95 with 85% humidity. The humidity makes it 100x worse.

yea it was a newer one...and there was definatly n2o + boost involved. from what i saw; it was fully stripped, had a roll cage, running on drags...some guys that frequent the track more than i do said it was the first time they've seen it. He made 4 runs..i raced him once and got beat by 3 tenths of a second..pulling ahead at the end. My guess is that its a swap of some sort.

edit : and on his last runhe ran a 14.3...maybe something broke i dunno....iwas in the staging lanes after him....they left after that. No club or shop markings or anything.

I was just angry ...I guess it can qualify for the car of the year now haha

That's what I was thinking, they just posted the car on the Honda website about a week ago. My dealer said they will not get them in til sometime in mid December. For the SI anyways.

That didn't take long for a swap to be done to that car then. I doubt they are running the stock motor. What I like about the 06+ is that it be very easy for a swap to be done vs. the 7th gen coupe or sedan where we had to wait 2 years before finding out how a K series would fit in it.
