2006 Spring Meet - Updated Information

HOTEL ROOMS ARE RESERVED!!!

I reserved 10 rooms at the LaQuinta Inn in Schaumburg, IL. The rooms each have two full size beds, room rates are $69.99 for a night, with 2-4 people in a room it should be pretty affordable. If we find that we wont fill all of them I can cancel a few before March 15th. I hope this works for everybody.

A DATE HAS BEEN FOUND, MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR APRIL 1ST

When: April 1st at 1pm CST (2pm EST)
Where: Busse Woods

What's happening: we meet at busse woods, grill, hang out, play sports games, i heard rumours of pong, and another rumour of fishing. if it rains we'll go to a restaurant or hotel to chill. after the "meet" we're gonna either cruise the streets, go to hooters (or some other place to eat, if you can convince jim otherwise), and hang out. after that we're looking at either an 18+ place for everyone, or splitting so some ppl can hit the bars that want to (and can do so legally). after this, hit the hotel and either continue the party or crash for the night. on the 2nd, sunday, a bunch of us will be heading out to Byron Dragway to do some racing.

When? April 1st, 2006
Where? Busse Park - Near Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg, IL (correct me if i'm wrong on this)
Time? 1pm (let's remember it gets dark kind of early)

Game Plan:
Relax at da BUUSSEEE. Grill some food up (weather permitting. If weather isn't good, we can move to Hooters or a surrounding restaurant. stay tuned!). Football, volleyball, shoot the sh*t, mingle, just hang out. By the time we get done, sun should be falling, we can cruise the streets of woodfield for a bit. We can always hang out at the hotel until a little later (only of course if we get one). Gameworks is always an option for a few hours. Then head out somewhere for some good clean fun

I know we are all guilty of PWing( myself included in the past) but seriosuly this is getting way old now and pretty damn annoying.

alright, for denise and terese (hey it rhymes!) i edited my first post with all of the info we've got in these 12 pages of bs, and yes i know alot of the bs is probably mine. please ask any questions anybody else needs answered.

i can give travel time approximations for anyone east of chicago due to the fact that i drove pretty much the exact route there from I-90 onward today.

that and somebody to find a hotel and block of rooms right now, because thats DEFINITELY something that needs to be set up early. just put down a name to reserve a set number of rooms for that night, fairly simple.

You can go with the LaQuinta Inn off Higgins I went with last June for the meet. They set it up pretty easily and let people call in on their own and secure their room. You just need to find out how many rooms to put in the block and for how many nights. I can give you the number if you want...

and if you would like I can delete all the useless threads in here to clear it up.. just LMK okay?

There is the info, just call them up and tell them you need to block off a set of rooms for that night and you want it so that it is under a name that people can call on their own and reserve them. They did not ask for a credit card info or anything from me so it should be the same!

yes, last time I believe i did a block of ten even though we only had like 3-4 rooms total, but i think 10 is the minimum you can block off.... they put it under grand am meet or something like that and people called and reserved them on their own with their own credit card, so that it was less hassle for me!

IIRC, last time the hotel rooms were like $59 or $69 a night? I am sure when he calls they can tell him the price, but that was (I think) in the ballpark last year.
