my new car!!! 2004 WRX!

I love love love love it. It's sooo fun to drive - so freakin fast. Despite the very high mileage, the car is in kickass shape. Altho it's an 04, it'll be 3 yrs old in June [so the guy got it in June of 03]. Front n rear windows are already tinted, n it came with 18" rims on 225/40/18 Nittos. I was hoping my Konigs would fit, but I doubt it.

Uhm, as for accessories.. it's got heated seats, cruise control, power windows, alarm/keyless entry, 6 disc cd changer with cassette tape, a neato rearview mirror... I forgot to take a pic of the interior, as well as the engine bay - but it's all stock.

I can't wait to start modding! The future shall hold: New exhaust asap, springs, intake, head, f&r stbs, sway bars, n something cf - I'm thinking either a hood, hood n trunk lid, or chin spoiler. I'll prob just go with the hood. In the next few days I'll throw my system back in cuz the stock 1 sounds like poop. I gotta do research before I start buying parts tho.

bolt pattern is 5x100 so they wont fit.

PS: do the JDM tyte y0 tail light mod!

Nice but whatever you do dont take it to some half ass install shop this time

Intake is kinda pointless on a wrx I think you need a reprogram to do that mod def do research before buying stuff...I'd do turbo back exhaust first though

Oh yea, forgot, good point greg.

ntake does nothing on turbo subarus. And every performance mod you do requires a tune (yea it sucks but gives u all the potential)

For example, if you get a turbo-back you'll get what is known as "boost creep" where the wastegate isnt opening porperly due to decreased backpressure, and the boost climbs slowly past stock levels. Tuning can help alleviate some of this.

oh, and be happy u dont have stock RE92s!

Thanks everybody, thanks thanks. I'm very pleased. I spent an hour last nite rearranging n moving crap into the car. The middle seat folds down which is soo convenient for me for snowboards [altho there will be a sub box over there].

Alex, I just registered on nasioc - my sn is badassbunny. I wish the site was more broken down, with an interior, exterior, suspension, performance, etc section. Hell, even a for sale section! I noticed there's no AAG, so I bet there aren't many flame wars or offtopicness. I wanna clear the front lenses, n yeah, def gotta do that tail mod. I'm gonna need ur sn.

Turboback exhausts are over $1000!!

Can any shop do a tune?

hahaha I'm sooooooooooo happy! The rental had power windows too. The entire 100 mile drive to PA I spent opening n closing them - just the back, just the front, all of em.. omg they're so fun!

Miles = 68k, so I 'saved' about 5k compared to practically every other wrx for sale anywhere. Spent another 1k for the 2yr/24k mile warranty tho ha.

btw - did some quick research, found the rims that are on the rex - They're Rota Subzeros [http://www.jaydm.com/subzero.htm]. Apparently, they're racing wheels, lightweight, n are replicas of the Racing Hart CP035s. They're 19lbs!!!!! They're also about $600 for the set. Score.

Mel, i dont know what site you signed up on, but NASIOC has all those places and more!! AAG = off-topic, and its BOOMING. Most things on the internet started directly from that off-topic.

It's a huge site with over 100,000 members so theres alot going on, but u'll get used to it. My SN = ArcticSun

Yea, my cob turboback was $1175, but it was worth every penny, and its on the more expensive side, there are tons of cheaper ones, like megan racing that kelly (cavingchick) just got.

Lot's of shops do tunes, u just gotta find em, and you have to find the right engine management for you. I'm getting my UTEC tuned on April 8th I'll let u know how it goes.

Oh, and one quick note, alot of people choose Rota becauase they are cheap, but theres been quite a few mishaps with them, like complete disintegration! But, they are decent.

Mel, stay away from engine management. Ask someone to tell you what to buy, then ask someone to take you someplace that knows how to do it. Don't try to learn or rationalize anything else about it
