DRL kit problem

For all you DRL kit owners.

It seems like I have a short in the kit. I currently have one of the wires unplugged that is causing the problem. If the wire is plugged in and the blower setting is in the off or high setting the dash lights come on and all go off except the odometer and radio stay on.

This all just started happening once I got the car back from the mechanic, he did an LIM repair and installed an 02 sim. If anyone has any ideas on a fix please post up. Thanks

Damn i wish they still made that kit.
I dont think i have ever heard of anyone having this problem, but of course not to many people have the DRL kit.

How did you come accross it? They havent made those for years and when they where being made they werent on the market very long.

Well you could always just take it out and do it the DIY way.
Dont know what else you could really do.

i bought a DRL kit a long time ago, but it needs work. just needs connectors on the ends. I didn't feel like doing it, so it's still upstairs and hasn't moved for a while. Let me know, it comes with instructions... just needs connectors on the ends.

yea. I just did it a couple days ago and its working like a charm. took about 15 minutes to do, and the hardest part was just reaching stuff under the dash

Im stopping there after work today to pic one up. I like the fact i can turn them on and off when i want. For $25 im just gonna go ahead and buy it. If it was anymore $$ than that then i would do the DIY method.

it looks like a few small pieces of wire and a switch. Toss in a couple wire taps. 10 bucks and you're out the door, for the same thing.

I sent out an email with the diagram from the 99-00 kit. I am not sure if its the right one. but I hope that it will help.
