haha wow, i was working on a similar project a couple weeks ago. i had pontiac sandblasted on some plexi and the rest painted black. i was going to fit the plexi into the little cubby shole thing that comes below the aftermarket head unit, and toss some leds behind it. but lack of time and energy got the best of me.

looks good though

i wonder if the could make one that has the text below the head unit insted of above, because my LCD screen would get in the way and cover up the text.

I've seen these before, they are nice. I'd love to get one, but right now I can't drop $60 on one.

Thanks guys for the comments. I connected the leds to the DIM switch. If you want to know which cables. Use the gray and black located behind the dim switch.

Check out my car domain and please sign my guestbook.

well, if you hook up the ground wire to a good ground, and the power wire to the dimmer switch, I think that you'd be set. It would only come on when your instrument lights were on, etc. If you wanted even more control, you could hook the power wire to a (5v?) fuse, and then hook it up to a switch.

yeah, there's one for the deck. It's called an illumination lead, but I'm not sure what color it is, or if it will provide enough power to run the lights on the bezel. I think it might just be a wire that tells the deck when to dim, and by how much. I know on my aftermarket radio, it just tells it to dim or not. It's not really that hard to run the wire to the fog switch, though. From there you can just use an in-line coupler to connect it (that way you don't have to cut any wires).
