My sweet new kustom seat!!111!!11!

On my way to Chicago, I noticed my seat felt a little... odd. Figured out that the middle part of the backrest on my seat was falling out. So, this morning, I tore it apart and did the ultimate fix! It feels like racing seats!1111!!!

Actually, it does feel really wierd to have a normal seat again. I had gotten used to the wierd angle to sit/bar in my back. I know someone is going to make a crack at GM for making crappy seats or something, but I don't really care. For me, spending 30 mins and $3 to fix something isn't a big deal.

Before- whole seat

Before- what it's supposed to be/how little it's held together (left side)

Before- the culprit

After- nothing like cheap fixes

After- whole seat

aaaannnnddd..... last week, I decided my metallic blue interior, while different and "cool", was fairly ryce-tastic, so I changed it to black. I am most satisfied. Black knobs should be arriving soon (out of a Century... thanks Brad!!)

for me the pictures of the seat were HUGE and the interior pics (first and last post)are normal sized.

definitely liking the black more, you might've considered a deep navy blue on the inside as well, to mirror the outside a bit more.

hmmm, no I see what you mean... they look huge on this go-around. Odd.

I liked the old blue cause it was metallic... I had a "navy" color on there long ago, let me find a pic...

EDIT: lies, no such pics exist. The navy didn't look good at all, trust me. Metallic looked better.

Nothing wrong with ghetto rigging anything as long as it follows these 2 rules:
1. You cant see the ghetto of it (hidden zip ties etc)
2. It actually works

Zip ties are what are holding up my tips on my GA and my GMC

Yup- Zip ties work fabulous for holding exhaust up higher into the grooves on the bumper. I did the same trick and am very happy with the results.

1-Order 3 knobs out of a Buick Century.
2- Pull current knobs off.
3- Install black Centruy knobs.

The front and back hook together right between where the top and bottom parts of the seat meet.... pull them apart, and pull the seat cover up.

I just use a good exhaust shop, no need for zip ties
