Pics of the LaCrosse
Well, here's some pics I took tonight. They're not the greatest, so hopefully I'll get some better ones taken soon.
She's freshly claybared and Zaino'd. She had 400 some odd miles when I got her, and I've puton 300 since I taking ownership on Saturday. So far I average 17 city/hwy mix, 14 city, and 25-28 hwy. I'm thinking I'm not getting the rated mpg cause the engine's not broken in yet (supposed to get 17-27 cty/hwy and 22 mix). Also, I'm getting the rear windows tinted (15%) on Monday. I'm thinking of painting the calipers either red or dark blue -- what do you guys think?

Congrats, on the new "baller status" car

What engine did you get in it ? For those ragging on Buicks: I kinda like those sleeper Buick Regals with the 3.8L Supercharged V6 engines.

Thanks, Mike. This one's got the 3.6 VVT w/240hp and 225 ft/lbs. I haven't gotten on the throttle yet, cause she's not broken in, but she's ballsy. The gearing isn't as smooth as it was in the Grand Am, nor is it as quick off the line, but definitely more power. 1/4 mile is 2 tenths faster stock vs. stock over the Grand Am, so who knows, perhaps it's just as fast, if not faster than my old pile. I've always like the Regals. They had that luxurious/sporty look. That's why I like this, it's luxurious, and it's kind of sporty looking. Plus I like the Jag. front end.

Hey Mike, how long do you think I should wait to put Synthetic in? Also, I'm probably going to do an oil change at 1000 miles cause god knows this thing's probably got 3 year old oil in it...

IMO, would wait until 3-6K miles before changing over. Just to be on the safe side.

Does anyone know if there's a way to hook up an iPod to the factory stereo?

I commend u for doing what u wanted rather than what everybody else told u [not] to do.
It's not my choice for a car, but as long as ur happy, n-joy it. I can't imagine much of an aftermarket, , but have fun!

Nice ride! I really like the way that car looks with the chrome and all. I tried to get another GM car like the buick or G6 GTP and even the new Impala SS, but couldn't get financed. I ended up going foreign. Even after owning two Grand Ams people would probably say something stupid if I posted pictures.
