Thumbs up Drove a Torrent today

I knwo tis the same as the equinox, but i think it looks alot sportier and it just has that pontiac vibe about it that makes me like it better. My dad is waiting for his new Caddilac to come in so they gave him a Torrent to drive until then and i must say, i was impressed. Had nice pickup, maybe im just not used to driving an suv, but it seemed i had to turn the wheel 100 times to get it to u-turn.

Equinox > Torrent, but the Vue Redline engine > crappy chinese 3400. There needs to be a Equinox SS and Torrent GXP with that Honda engine. They are all pretty decent vehicles, and there is going to be a 4th on the platform: 2007 Suzuki XL7.

Yes, but instead of being made in Mexico (that's what was stamped on mine), it's made in China for even cheaper labor.

You must be thinking of the Vibe... currently the only GM car to have a Toyota engine.

OT, this gets me thinking of all the current GM cars that have engines sourced from other manufacturers: Saab 9-2X. Vue Redline, Chevy Aveo, Vibe. Pretty sad that no manufacturer would ever want to source a GM engine into their vehicle.

Toyota did in the mid to late 90's, in fact it was a whole car not just the engine, they had a re-badged Cavalier of all things, only sold in Japan and Europe. "Toyota Cavalier"
