STS turbo

Here's the thing. A friend of mine knows I am in the market for a turbo, and got me there number. I just got off the phone with one of their reps. I asked him if he has a kit for our car, which he does not, but he told me that he has a universal kit. Also he added that there was a 02 pontiac grand am that had this put on his car. Anyone know who this could be?

The universal kit was like $3125, you just would need custom tuning, and got to an exhaust shop to rig up piping.

That would be a good deal if you ask me, as long as you had a tuner and knew how to use it.

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

but back OT. I think that turbo set-up you talked about is a good idea. Even if you don't know exactly what you are doing tuning wise, I'm sure you could find a shope to help ya out with that part (as well as the custom piping). good luck!

Not im stuck with a decision, STS + S+S headers, or DPP??????

Tuning check,
transmission- needs rebuilding anyway, so check

I hate choices..... Thats why I would like more info about this whole thing.

Well I've talked a lot to Germ and every question I had has been answer, so awesome customer service! And a known product!

HP performance is difficult to get answer, parts, and basically to get a hold of them, poor service. Only 2 people have the turbo, one dissappeared and the other one doesnt have it installed....so no clue?

STS, answered my questions, kept it quick and simple. Technically there is no kit. I am sure I can buy all the piping on line from a place like vertech.com, (i think thats the place) But no one has it done to a grand am, so who knows what would happen.....

I don't care about headers, the only way i would get headers is if i got a STS turbo.

if you go all motor, remote mount turbo, or a supercharger or nawz...

if you go with a traditional setup, those shiny headers get scrapped... mwaahhahahaha.

It was never verified that TOG's coating was flaking. Most people have had no problem with them, and they're still a better design than S&S.

On topic, I really hope someone tries this rear mount turbo. I think it could be an awesome setup on this car with the right tuning and proper intercooler/pipe routing, and it would be so much easier to fit in considering the room under the hood.
