Unhappy Points Affecting Your Insurance In Mi

i just went 2 court.

i said i was denying it was my fault and i had a reason

1. the ticket was for 90 in 70 (I-75)

near BALDWIN ROAD

there is a bridge and a hill.

in front of me was a jeep on the right was a 16 wheeler and in the fast lane was 3 cars a durango,a crappy Grand am and another car. in the fast lane the cars were passing me and everyone in front of me slammed on their brakes. i was in the back of the pack of cars in the middle lane,

i told the Judge the COP clearly pulled me over because i have a red sports car and i was at the back of the pack.

The cop said he Scanned me THROUGH another car with his HAND LAZER

i asked to see the cop scanner he brought it to my car he turned it on THE FIRST NUMBER was at 75 then he said wait a minute ur number will come up it went for about a minute he stopped it at 90 and said here.

and the judge actually bought that load of crap

it was a 3 point ticket

anyone know how much ur insurance goes up for 3 points? i currently pay like 660 bucks for 6 months i just hope the insruace doesnt notice the points in my first ticket ever and im almost 19 =/

I live in PA and orginally got nailed for 71 in a 40, went to court, got it lowered to a 50 in a 40 and ended up getting two points. That was in october of 2005, and my insurance company still has not said anything, or raised my costs. So I think as long as you dont adjust your insurance, get into an accident, basiclly just stay away from your insurance company and you should be fine

I got in an accident and got a following too closley ticket (BS) and my insurance went up 1.50 cents. When i switched cars it went from 68 dollars a month(plpd) to 228, even though the ga was a few years newer. Bassicaly, dont get a ticket, and dont get in an accident. My mom got a 19 over ticket, and hers hasnt changed. She got the ticket in OCT. Good luck.

Yeah my advice is to just lay low with your insurance company for the next two years (if your laws are similar). Here in PA you lose two points the first year, and 1 point after that...so if your laws are similar in MI you should have 0 points in two years.

Thats focking crazy. I think accidents are worse then driving violations though...not sure though. I'm defintily waiting to get my next vehicle (Hopefully '98 Mustang next spring ) either way though after hearing that.

Under insurance it isnt. However, IMO it is a "sporty looking car"

Umm...not exactly sure, go to your state website and search around there. I read it in the drivers manual that is given out at our school.

This is gay. You got a ticket, pay it, deal with the insurance going up, move on with life.
