yea ill post up results for sure. the pad retainers seem to be scraping on the rotors...not sure if i should pull it all apart to adjust it or if itll all even out when i break them in.

Looks good. I'm glad to see you got this to work, it shouldn't be long before others do the same (if I hadn't just replaced my brakes, I would). Good job!

Also I'm not sure what the pad retainers are. Are those pieces set into the calipers to hold the pads in? Where did you buy those? Also did you buy the pads and rotors online, if so where and what brands? Sorry for all the questions, I just want to be sure I'm ordering all the right stuff at the best prices. Congrats on the install though.

I would keep the corvette lettering. I mean they are corvette calipers, show them off.

LukeD: sorry forthe confusion. 1) i found that the C5/Z06 calipers DO fit, they are the same as te C5 calipers. i was clarifying becuse the calipers on the C6/Z06 are 6 piston calipers thati DOUBT will fit. the pad retainers are the thin metal pieces that hgold the pads in place. not sure what the actual name is. i got the rotors/pads from summitracing.com. i got EBC grenstuff pads and powerstop drilled rotors. both are for camaro.

I don't know the geometry of the vanes inside those rotors, but it looks like your disks are on backwards. Looks good otherwise, not a fan of the green pads mix in there, would look hotter all black but what can you do.
here is the pic of what I mean by rotors looking to be mounted the wrong way. I know yours say L for left but still looks strange that way, all sport compacts I see in magazines and stuff have rotors facing like the picture below. My baer were also labeled to be mounted like the pic below. The holes don't much matter though, its the internal vanes that do, so if those are right its all right ![]() (this is from a vett) Pic http://www.brcorvetteclub.com/events..._wheel_big.JPG |

i dont think it matters much how the holes are...i dont think i would want to do the opposite from what the rotors were labeled.
and heres the scoop on impala rotors vs camaro rotors: the fronts are the same bolt pattern and diameter. theres more offerings for camaro than impala...but they are 100% interchangeable. i hope that helps.
