and with Japanese vehicles, you got aftermarket parts from Japan and US....with US vehicles, its just aftermarket parts from the US....because you'll find not too much US vehicles in Japan...its always been that way, gonna be that way even if US makes a awesome car.

as for Nascar...eh...not a big fan.
Im sorry but that comment wasnt really... relevant or necassary? Its not just "kids" buying imports. 95 Hondas maybe.

The aftermarket has very little to do with purchasing, even in our generation as again this is a very small segment.

The main point was business practices that GM followed for years, that is why they are in the position they are now.

Actually, Aftermarket plays a bigger roll into Car's in general then we think. There's number's out there as high as 2 Billion a year, is spent on aftermarket. Granted most dont think about that at the time of purchase.

Also its not just GM that's in the Boat its the Big 3 in general. Only reason AG is around is Benz pulled them out of the water, that along with getting there heads out of there asses.

I don't think its a bad idea they get into Nascar. Maybe it will tell the domestics to up their game and come up with some new 'ish. On another note, NASCAR is a redneck event and have many of those Rednecks, have Toyota 4x4s. The Tacoma is a damn good off road truck and the Tundra is coming up in that area. Their cars can do with a little bit of a Make-over. Though they have good cars, some of them are just butt ugly. Sort of like a super-model with pimples on her rear. Good if you don't have to look at it, but you wouldn't mind driving it "home"

Um, I don't know what Nascar events you're going to, but I have been to many on the eastern half of the US and outside of the Toyota engineers, no one has a Tacoma or any other foreign job for that matter. People drive their Chevy, Ford and Dodge pickups/cars or motorcycles- Yamaha and Suzuki are about as foreign as Nascar gets, and those are all bikes. Also, I am not a redneck and I attend many Nascar events, as I said.

Yes there using a v8. I think its a "re-do" of the V8 from the "Bull Dog." Not sure though.

Tell me redneck. How did you come up with this conclusion? Have you been to any races lately or just going on your gut opinion?

Wrong. Toyota will work because they bring the one thing everyone wants, MONEY. The fans will accept it and move on. Plus it's not the first time foreign cars have raced in NASCAR before and WON.

the fans may eventually accept it, but it doesn't mean they'll like it.

Hey racing is racing, as simple as that, as long as the cars are matched up, its up to the driver's to figure it all out. Its not the car that really wins.

But most fans I've talked too, don't have a problem with Toyota in NASCAR. It's just the small percentage of loyal rednecks that have a problem with it. But even they realize it was bound to happen sooner or later.
