I'm just wondering how the fitment is going to be on all this stuff. I have yet to see a company make a CF hood or trunk that fits properly. The CF trunk that Mendoza got was a terrible fit and wouldn't close or seal properly. Same thing with fenders, they all need work to fit right. I guess we'll find out when someone buys them and posts pics.

well they were reassuring me that they would be as good as stock, because i got an aftermarket fender cuz i was in an accident and it looked like pooh and it dont fit right, so i wanted to make sure that the lines were sharp and that there would be no fitment issues at all, and thats what they told me, that they take care in their quality and that they arent a mass market company so they can take the time to do it right, i guess we will all find out. the guy also hinted at a package deal with the hood, spoiler, and trunk so i wanna c what that will run

package deal through cerious? is the concept spoiler still being made through them? cause if i can get a little more off the hood, a little off the spoiler, and grab the trunk for less than it may be worth it. wasn't originally going to get the trunk, but if the price is right i will.

?

I'm just saying. Double check one more time if you're going to order and you don't want to wait. If they're in stock great- Cerious ships fast when they have inventory. If not...well ask the guys waiting for their CF SD hood!

If your going aftermarket everything is going to be difficult to line up. Well mostly everything. I had one hell of a time lining up my hood and trunk. After making some holes bigger on the trunk lid i finally got it to line up right but the lid still leaks. It doesn't seal when shut like the oem lid. But I'm working on it!
Edit
It would also help if my trunk lid weighed more the 5lbs I don't have any pressure to actually seal the lid. I think i am going to break down and get the RK sport carbon fiber wing. More weight on the lid should help it seal.

I haven't had trunk springs on my car for years now, since I've had a CF trunk.

Same here i had to take them off when i put the cf lid on. The lid just doesn't seal correctly. I am hoping the added weight will help.

Might want to get inside the trunk while it's closed and see if you can see light around the weather stripping. That will at least tell you where it's not sealing so you know where it needs to be fixed. If you got the trunk to line up well enough and the under side is actually lining up with the weather strip, it may just be an issue of the weather strip needing adjusting to make contact. You can push it up a little, but it will have to be glued in place otherwise it will just push back down when you close the trunk. Some people have even had this problem with the stock trunk.

Werd.

I need to put the springs back in now with my ricerrific wing on though. As funny as it seems a good handful of my friends have dropped the trunks on their heads/faces/backs/hands. **** hurts...it's heavy.

Does anyone think that cerious would let me in on the group buy, seeing that there have been a few who have dropped out of it? I just shot them an e-mail inquiring about it, but probably wont hear back for a couple days.

Tell them you heard about the group buy from GrandAmGT.com through Darren (me) and you should be good to go.
