2006 GTP's (sedan, coupe and convertible) have the 3.9L engine available

2007 GTP's come with the 3.6L DOHC engine, 6 peed auto
2007 GT's with the Sport package can get the 3.9L & manual (both coupe and sedan), the convertible is the only one you can't get the manual. and the convertible layout (exhaust system changes) reduces total power, not the transmission.

5psi & 14 seconds... where is that listed? I ran 14.9 stock, hell just a 50 shot of juice would put me in the 13's. I've done TEST DRIVING (less than 5 miles total) in which I showed 5 psi on an NA tuned PCM (aka advanced timing) all with 1200 rpms left on the dial. Which, I admit is even higher than I should have gone. It will push 6 lbs and 14's are history.

a 50 shot would knock an entire second off?

We only have one guy's nitrous runs to go off of, but he had listed a 13.7 on a 50 shot (wet). Regardless, the other info was the point of my post. The turbo is not finished.. all specs are based on very minimal test drives. Also, there seemed to be confusion about the G6 engine offerings (understandably so, there's been 5 engines in just three years) and I wanted to help clear it up.

I pulled this off Pontiac.com:

Engine & Power

* 3.5L V6 with 224 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque
* 3.9L V6 SFI with 240 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque
* 3.6L V6 SFI with 252 hp and 251 lb-ft of torque

Transmission

* 4-speed automatic, electronically controlled with overdrive (manual shift mode standard)
* 6-speed automatic, electronically controlled with overdrive (standard on GTP)
* 6-speed manual (available on GT)

So pretty much, my 3.9 will get beat by the 3.6, but the 3.9 is no longer available with a manual, only the 3.6... LAME.

The 2007 GT with the Sport package is basically a 2006 GTP.
The 2007 GTP gets the 3.6L dohc and 6 speed auto.

The 2006 GTP & 2007 GT (3.9L Sport package) can get the manual trans.

Yes, the GTP coupe and sedan both come with only the 3.6L and 6spd auto now. Last year that wasn't the case. The GTP coupe came with the 3.9L and 6spd manual, and the GTP sedan came with the 3.6L and 6spd auto.

Exactly. Both the coupe and sedan GT models can be ordered with a sport option with the 3.9L and 6spd manual. If you go to pontiac.com and build a G6 it shows the options on both, but for some reason it won't let you select them. It's a couple hundred dollars more on the sedan than the coupe too for some reason.

You got that backwards at the end. The 3.9L is only available with a manual. The 3.6L is not available with a manual at all. Only the 6spd auto.

Aaron, my car is a 2006 GTP SEDAN and I have a 3.9L 6MT...the way I read your statement was "last year" as in 2006 models.

3.6L motors are new in 2007.
