Talking 2000 Grand Am Gt (bought jan 9)

Hey all, i bought this on Janurary 9th during a snow storm, for 6995, it came with waranty and also they put a bunch of new stuff in the steering for me for no cost. i was thinking about doing some modding however im a poor college student and also making payments on this car and car insurance went up! the only thing i did basically since i got it was get the pontiac vinyls that fit on the front and rear bumpers, i have my own vinyl cutter as well as my own vinyl so i can pretty much make any vinyl i would want for much cheaper than anyone could sell them to me. i would love real dark tint like i had on my old car but the cops around where i live are ****s and keep getting me in trouble with it and making me take it off. i would like some new wheels since the paint on the edges of these ones are chipping, exhuast would be nice as well as new taillights and all that good stuff but i dont really have the money yet. (unless you guys/gals wanna give me some good deals on slightly used parts) thought about getting grill inserts, but im not sure yet. trying to get cheap things so i dont get yelled at for wasting money that i really dont have to be spending. Here are some pics also you can go to my cardomain page and check it out if you would like and my other cars i had in the past as well as this car can be found at http://members.cardomain.com/bryanw0087 and another

iirc a flowmaster muffler (80 series) with tips is being sold right now at a VERY good price on here.

and welcome, have fun modding, you may find it to be more addictive than crack as some ppl can attest..

85k miles u might think thats high but i will maintain and drive the car till probably 160k or more, i had a 95 corsica with 226k miles on it and i sold it and it ran just fine, i traded in my car that was worth 800 and got 1800 for it plus i got alot of stuff replaced on it for nothing because the steering was a little out of whack when i test drove it, theres no dents, scratches, paint chips, its pretty much spotless for a 2000 coupe with over 80k miles,

Good luck with it. In my opinion, Grand Am's are hard to beat when it comes to used cars in the same price range.

Nice GAGT. Another cheap mod you could do is the turn signal overlay, available through GrafxWerks, one of the site sponsors.

Oh no doubt youll get more than 160k. But nah 85Ks not really bad for a '00. When I got my 99 it was at 105K.
Thats pretty cool they hooked you up with the steering fix. My dealer was a d!ck about fixing little things before I bought it.

Since you are going to college my advice is... save your money and just drive it, graduate and get a good paying job, buy a newer nicer car. There is soo much out there now thats better than the GA. 10 years makes a huge difference in the auto world as far as engines and technology. If you get a little bit of cash maybe get some cheap but cool looking wheels and a stereo just to make it more enjoyable to drive. Leave it at that.

^^ I agree. Especially at 80,000 miles, im sure the car went through at least 2 LIM leaks.
