GI: Spring meet in A-town or nearby - Page 2

I think a big draw for people (who are driving a long ways) will be going to the track that day. I personally wouldn't mind waiting though.

jim, you knew i was gonna read that post. and after doing the planning last year and seeing my meet fail i agree with you on every point you made. hence why im gonna wait a bit more on some planning.

coupe and i have discussed a meet where we do a tutorial on proper detailing, so people can come out of the meet having learned some new techniques. and then throw in some bbq, maybe a few beers, whatever. it'll be either in indiana or michigan.

im not here to steal mark's thread though, and i do have a suggestion if you need some place to go that's decently close and a lot of fun. Six Flags. /end

aj if ur meet happens im totally there as long as i get some good notice in advance same goes for mark. basically if i can make it there in a few hrs im up for the drive to chill and meet everyone.

well joe i'm not here to steal mark's thread, so keep your eyes peeled in the forum. coupe and i have to talk about place and time before we do anything, it'll probably be april though, about the time the weather becomes reasonable.

mark, i may or may not be able to make you rmeet. i'll try to as my funding for such things is becoming quite better as of late.

do we have any more plans yet or a set date for this? im gunna be loaded up with classes till mid and working quite a bit so knowing some dates would be helpful so we can all start planning.

Well my laptop is acting up, so not even going to try to click the above link, but I do NOT still need to own the GA to attend right? Especially if we are racing, Ill have alot more power come May (hopefully) and will definately be itching to run (if I havent already) at the track.

You are more than welcome to come and so is any other memeber that doesnt own their GA anymore but still hangs out here....

If we are running at the track (I hope we do) its only about 10-15 minutes from the meet so those who have already driven a long distance wont have much further to go to race.

We will still be having the meet in Antioch at the same location as the last A-Town meet unless of course we have too many people coming out for this in which case we can reserve a spot at one of the local forest preserves..
