Dell Gaming PC

I purchased this summer of 2005 with my graduation money. Since I wrecked my GA, I am in need of money, so here are the specs:

Dell Dimension 8400 (Gaming units right before XPS came out)
P4 630 w/HT Technology @ 3.0ghz
2 gig DDR2 Ram
160 gig SATA HD
nVidia GeForce 6800 PCI-E 256mb GDDR3 card (VERY nice card)
Hauggpauge (sp?) TV Tuner Card
Windows XP Professional SP2 (Will reformat prior to shipping)
Integrated 5.1
USB 2.0 X 8
Dual Drives (CD-RW & DVD-Rom)

Also included:

Razer Diamondback Chameleon mouse
Saitek blue illuminated keyboard

Teh Gamez (zomg!)

Battlefield 2142
Condemned: Criminal Origins
Hitman: Bloodmoney
Half Life 2
Counter Strike: Source
GTA: Vice City
GTA: San Andreas
F.E.A.R.
DOOM 3

Offers?

EDIT: I also have a Monster Cable DVI cable I'll throw in for those of you with monitors that support HDTV and have DVI. Sorry, not including a monitor because I use my Hitachi 26" HDTV.

ALMOST FORGOT!!!

I am also including Adobe Photoshop CS2, 1 year subscription to Norton Anti-Virus 2007 and Webroot Spy sweeper!

What are you looking to get out of it? My power supply is acting up on my computer.... so Im looking for something to hold me over for a year or so before I drop the $$$ on a new loaded PC.

Oh, and Half-Life 2, should be removed from your list. Thanks to steam, once the game is installed and registered so you can play, it cant be used on another computer. Sadly this even applies to those who never played it online. To fully install HL2, it had to download the rest of the game from the net. (Stupid anti-piracy crap.)

That is unless of course you give up your steam account with it.... but there would be other issues with that.

We'll im not good with just stating what I want. So don't be shy to make an offer, and I always work off of that.

The game can be installed with the same key more than once, but only one steam account can be logged in and using it at once. I will no longer have use for my account. And if it still doesn't work I'll just give you the info to my account. I don't think I have any personal information on it.

how much did you buy it for last year??

i MIGHT be interested b/c i don't need a top of the line up to date system, just one that will be good doing a few games, photoshop, and burning DVDs. i'd say i'll offer $400 since there's no monitor ..but let me know i'll have to check my $$ too.

EDIT: check on shipping to zip code 29505 and i'll let you know something.

When I purchased this unit, I was working for USAA insurance company, which had affiliations with Dell. They were apart of the Dell EPP program (www.dell.com/eppbuy), so I was able to purchase this unit as configured with a 40% discount during their labor day EPP promotion event in summer of '05. As configured, it was roughly around $2,200 BEFORE the discount. I think I paid somewhere around $1450'ish after taxes with the discount. $400 sounds good, unless I get offered more, and I will try and find you a shipping price. Last time I shipped a desktop, it was about $32 via UPS ground, however it was in the same state. So estimate $40-$55'ish for shipping.

Yes, socket 775. I was actually looking to see if my motherboard supported a Core 2 Duo processor, but after the wreck, I lost all interest. As for SLi, unfortunately these mother boards came out right before SLi. The PCI-E is x16. Ram is DDR2 4200, and FSB is 533mhz. Motherboard has 4 ram slots, so 512mb X 4 right now. Remember XP 32 bit does support up to 4 gig of ram, 1 gig for the kernal and the rest for applications and stuff so u can have 4 gig if u ever decide to upgrade it. And for your Counterstrike: Source fans, my desktop is the one featured in most of the levels...

Thanks for the questions, keep askin 'em if you guys have more.

Just to clear it up. With a 533FSB a Core 2 Duo would NOT be doable with that board (Core 2 Duos take a 1066 FSB and the newest E4300 takes an 800 FSB ). Just so everyone knows.

Ok everyone (that is, except RyanAndrew and Pinnacle...) I will have pix hopefully by tonight. I know a few of you have asked for them, but I still forgot to get batteries for the camera. So I don't have class tomorrow, I will get batteries at work, and put 'em up by tonight.

Teh pix:

(also note the heat sink for the processor. It's pretty crazy, 6 copper tubes going into the main heat sink. I'm not positive, but it could be a form of first gen sealed liquid cooling...)

The pipes on the heat sink are just what they look like, heat pipes. The don't have anything to do with liquid cooling. Just so you know

Blake kinda made an un-official offer, so I'm still waiting on his response. If he backs out, you will still be the highest one.
