hey, i still have less clearance under my car than you do, but crap, your car is faster...for now.

those damn evos, they were walking all over the fbodies at the track, and we were walking all over the GTOs. i wish you had brought your toy...bring it april 7. i want you to be there when i get into the 12s.

just put your battery back under the hood (where it belongs) and you should be fine. make sure you bring a snell 2000 or better helmet, they are kinda stickers about that.

otherwise, i dont think youll need a cage or harness nor will you need a suit, so you should be fine. lets see what the gramma can run without elevation adjustments.

Meh I got you both beat on ground clearance, or rather lack of. I need to modifiy my DP because the whole center section of my exhaust and the cut-out are rather low.


You shouldn't have to have the battery under the hood though. As long as it's in a good battery box and firmly mounted in the trunk it should meet regs.

when your cars get this low you can bitch about ground clearance. i browse the vw forums alot and found a ton of slammed cars but this tt has to be the lowest ive seen.

i agree...and rob, my car is lowered on granatelli springs. not my choice, car came that way, and thats a granatelli crossmember that is that low, much lower than the stock crossmember.

but yea, that vw has adjustable suspension or something, cus thats not even driveable.

Having the battery in the trunk, I still have to install an emergency shutoff switch at the back of the car in case of some freak accident. NHRA rules.

I also have to get a fully sealed metal box w/ a vent of it going outside. It's a battery asploding issue since there's no firewall to protect a person. NHRA rule.

Helmet check!

I may need a firejacket depending on how much of a jerkoff the track officials are or aren't.

I know I probably need extended wheel studs at one point or another. I hate safety issues.
