Thanks, but no thanks. Found what I needed at NAPA, but they had to order it. When I pick it up I'll post the part number.

A little cheaper

Just an FYI for those still looking to do this conversion. I found the F-body caliper brackets at JCWhitney for $49.99 a piece, plus they currently are offering free shipping. It's not a huge price difference, but hey $22 is a couple more gallons of gas in your tank.

Well here is another FYI.

For those that don't want the "Corvette" lettering on your calipers. Get the Camaro calipers instead. Both the Corvette and Camaro calipers are identical, just the Corvette version has it's name on them and cost over twice the price vs. the Camaro calipers.

Also you can get the Camaro brackets with calipers for around $100 each side at your local Autozone, Advance, Carquest, NAPA, etc...

I'm not sure if this link will work, but here it goes.

Now I am chiming in a bit late back on this thread but you put the stock Chrometech 5 spokes on with the camaro calipers installed and everything fit well? How much gap was there? This is big news for me cause still have stock wheels.

Stick with the stock boys until you get some bigger rims. I think they will fit but it would be to tight for my comfort.

Yeah..I think I will. Imagine if I caught some crap in there....or a rock

I am seriously hating my Baer rotors right now. Worst mod I have done and I have NO idea why they grind?!.? Brand new set of 4 Baer Decelarotors, brand new GM CeramicMatrix pads and it feels like I have a Centerforce clutch for a rotor...or like I am using uneven metal pads. I may get a measurement caliper and see if these rotors are even the same thickness from one side to the next. No vibration just SUPER harsh feel when hot or cold.

Are the rotors cross drilled and slotted? If so that would be your problem. Another problem may be if you didn't use brake cleaner on the rotors before you put them on that car. There is a sticky substance that prevents the rotors from rusting, you have to remove that before you put them on the car. If you forgot to clean it off that could be the problem. Also are brake slides are notorious for getting locked into the brake bracket. Make sure that all the bolts slide freely.

Yes...they are the Baer Decelarotors. But my friend has the slotted and cross drilled Baer kit on his Mustang GT and has no issues...infact he loves them.
I did use brake cleaner on the rotors. I don't think it did much but I did notice a "coating". I lubed the slides when I did the new pads. Even though the pads were like new, I decided to replace them and lube the caliper bolts simply so that nothing could be an issue.
The only reason I have left them on is because they look so much better than the stockers. I mainly drive my truck but want to resolve the issue cause it can be annoying. I was trying to find ANYTHING on the issue but can't. It's a nasty feeling when you brake.
