I cant imagine how deafening that is when you get on the throttle. That idle is like whoa loud!

I thought the mustangs actually had a true dual exhaust setup, all the way from the headers back, unlike our cars which are really a single exhaust setup. I had heard this plays a great deal in the sound and note of the exhaust.

It is. I ran my car like that for a bit before I decided I didn't like it. The exhaust smelled terrible and the car sounded like a big chainsaw at WOT.

Yeah, that's definitely part of it. And like gectec said they will also sound different because they are just different. Different engine with different cam and head designs (which makes a diff), different headers, different exhaust...

Why'd you get that one? That's a california emmissions cat according to specs on summit racing. It's also a bit bigger than you really need at 4x7" and 16" long. You could have gotten the #53006 model for $64.

Well, I just ordered the cat'd downpipe kit w/ gasket set. I'll be doing the straight install, no welding required, so I'll let you all know how it turns out.

Well...my opinion of ZZP is starting to fall apart. Here's why:

I ordered my part on 3/22. Since then I've sent a total of 4 emails asking what my lead time is on this piece, and I've gotten no response at all. When I log into ZZP's site, it says that my order is "In Process". I see that other people got theirs relatively quickly, and here we are nearly 3 weeks later and I still haven't gotten an email. I've tried to call twice, and got a busy signal both days. I'm gonna call them again this afternoon.

Rand: Any chance you could drive by on your way home from work and see if their open. I wasn't sure how big of a shop this was (how many people work there) and thought maybe they went on vacation or something...I don't know...just trying to find excuses why it's been 3 weeks and nobody is telling me anything

It's pretty much got me pissed off because my car has been sitting in the driveway at my parents house and I've had to drive my dad's PT Cruiser Thank God it's at least got the turbo on it.

So what should I think of ZZP at this point? Is this the customer service other's have gotten?

he has asserted his dominance over competing males with the loud masculine sound form his exaust system, Females searching for a potential mate will be driven away by weaker exaust systems and attracted to his SLP.

Well...thats what I thought...that was half the reason I chose ZZP; well, that and the fact that they are the only company out there (other than Magnaflow) that make a downpipe assembly for our cars.

I just want my car back!

Thanks for helping me out on this one Rand-I figured it was easier for you to drive there than it was for me

I've had a few customer service problems before. I ordered balanced 42lb injectors from them and they were on backorder. On the site though they said in stock and my order said processed. No one ever bothered to call me and tell me I'd have to wait an extra month for them. Took them about a week to get back to me in email too.

Well...I finally got through on the phone this evening. Not sure who I talked to, but he said that the 3-bolt flanges were the only thing they were waiting on. They don't make these in house, so they have to wait for them to come in (from what I understood). He did tell me that he would let somebody know that I called and to get moving on my order since my car isn't exactly driveable at this point.

Rand, you can stop by if you want and raise hell for me-but I did get through, so only if you are in the mood

Yeah...good point! Then I might not ever see my downpipe!

It's going to feel so different when I get back into my car. Especially with actually being able to hear the the car is running.

On another note, I've hosed a couple of people at a few traffic lights recently. How upset must they have been to go home and say that they got beat by a PT Cruiser
