and reaction times have nothing to do with how fast u run in a 1/4...and with so many variables, neither do 60' times. the only thing you can do is just run it and try and improve the next time. heat is the enemy, so make sure to let the car cool down and also maybe ice the intake. i usually stay in the lanes with my heater on full blast and the mode on defrost to take all the heat off the engine, because when u hit WOT the compressor kicks off but the heater is still on so it will still take the heat out, with the compressor on before WOT it will keep the high speed fans on taking more heat off. also its best on an auto to flash the converter, meaning take the engine speed up to the stall speed of the TC, stock is about 1895 FYI

Arguably though wouldn't it be a good idea to turn all that off once you approach the line so as not to put that additional load (however minor) on the engine while you're running?
