1987 Pontiac Fiero GT

I don't believe I posted pics of the Fiero on grandamgt.com so I figured i would. We're pulling her out of storage this Saturday and I'll probably take her out driving for an hour or 2 to get reacquainted.

2.8L V6 pumps out about 160 HP. (That's a lot on a RWD 2-seater with a Fiberglass frame)

Wow, you have kept that in excellent condition- probably one of the cleanest Fieros I have seen in a while. How many miles? If you don't mind me asking, what does a good condition GT go for these days (I have always like the Fieros as a fun car to mod and play around with)?

Thanks, the car is actually my Dad's but he lets me claim her as my own. I'm always driving it and cleaning it up, plus he'll sell it to me whenever he gets his Vette. I can't remember exactly how many miles but im guessing around 100,000 and it's a 20 year old engine. According to KBB the value is estimated around $2,000 for a Fiero GT, but good luck finding one in decent shape, or any at all. My dad was lucky when he found this 1.

OMG!!!! AMRAAM's back!!!!

Very nice ride. Looks very clean. That last year of fiero with that body style and the V6 instead of the I4 is really the only model I like.

I didn't realize that vent in front of the rear wheels (presumably for the intake) was only present on the driver side...weird.

I have no idea what it runs in the 1/4 mile. I would assume low 16's though.

As for engine swaps go, the 3800 S/C is very popular but so is the Corvette motor. It fits perfectly, and that was what my Dad wanted to drop in it but then decided that the Fiero was his little cruiser, not a speedster.

To answer the myth of it being repainted the answer is...NO!!! Everything is from the factory, minus the pieces that were repainted after the previous owner was involved in a car accident with it. But i can't really see any crash scars, except that the black trim on the passenger's side doesnt line up perfectly.

Finally, the scoop on the driver's side used to only be a vent, but my Dad bought an officially licensed scoop that acts similar to a Ram Air hood, and yes, it is only on the driver's side...weird, huh?

Thanks to everyone else who replied to the pics. I just can't wait to get her out of storage tomorrow. There is already a line of friends who want to see it and ride in it, including everyone at my work. Even my managers told me to bring it by when I got back with it.
