I miss my Fieros. I have had three. My first car was a black 88 GT. Second was an 86 SE Red. That one was my baby and I still miss it after 5 years. I had an 84 Indy Pace Car Fiero but it's now my dads. It's in really nice condition also. We just keep it in the garage for those rare occasions a show comes up.

My brother's first car was a maroon 87 SE. We had a white 87 GT for a little bit I think. Our best one was an 86 Red GT that had some crazy low mileage. It was practically new. My dad sold it to my brother and my brother was stupid though and traded it in.

Yours is lookin awesome! It's one of those rarer colors. I personally always wanted one of the blue ones. Came close to buying one once, but somehow didn't.

Very clean, I like it. There is a black with yellow around here, but in bad shape. Last I saw of it, it was under a tarp. Wonder if he wants to sell. HHMM

No, they never had a 2.5L. It was a 2.3L quad four, then they went to a 2.4L, and now GM has the ecotec in 2.0/2.2/2.4L.

A fiero would be a nice car to own. I really like that one.

From my understanding the Fiero was the last prototype John Z. Delorean made before he left to start his own company. I also heard they were maintenance nightmares, and were done away with because GM was loosing all sorts of money due to recalls. Engine fires supposively were notorious.

Nothing a few modifications couldn't take care of of course. Hell I'd drive one. They kind of look like a mini-firebird! on that note seems the Solstice is kind of a modernized version of one

The best part is that they're small, light and RWD....what I would do to have my GA RWD.

PS
Nice car.

You sure your in the right thread??? Fiero's had 2 engine choices, the 2.5 iron duke and the 2.8 60*. The 2.8 was not available the first year, and was first made availble in the 85 gt notchback. After 85 the gt became a fastback model and the notchback was rebadged as an SE model that came with the 2.8. You couldn't get the I4 with the se/gt body cladding on it, it was the basic stripped model that looked like an 84...

You're right. That's weird I don't remember GM making a 2.5L but I looked it up. I had an '85 pontiac 6000 with the same engine as the Fiero and I thought it was the 2.3L but it was the 2.5L I4 TBI. Guess the 2.3L didn't come out until '87. I had another one with the 2.8L V6 but it was the 2 barrel carb one instead of the MFI in the Fiero.

Its strange to see the dashboard and c0ckpit of an 80's car. I remember my Aries, everything was box shaped and button free, besides the radio.

I just noticed that Fiero's have a center pillar that connects teh top and bottom lips of teh bumpers. Everyone has license plates on their cars so I was never able to see it, . Stupid MN laws.

This thread is making me want one. I did some research on the internet, they are relatively cheap and easy to mod. They sell kits for the V-8 conversion and the GTP SC'd v6 conversion as well. Think it would make one awesome project car. I mean cheap, and RWD, and a design mostly only seen in italian sports cars! I think you could easily build up your own personal supercar with the chassis to a fiero!

oh and also they weigh about the exact same amount as a Cavalier... like 2700 pounds.

Fast little car with a V8 conversion. Like low 11 sec. - high 10 sec. fast.

http://www.fiero.nl/forum/Forum1/HTML/034445.html

and another list with just L67 conversions.
