you do know that the main reason for dark tint being illegal is to protect the lives of cops, right? if it's too dark they can't see who's in the car, nor can they see if anyone has a weapon. visibility is a secondary concern, the lives of cops is primary.

seriously, if you want to complain about a law, understand it first.

when i had tint and got pulled over i always rolled all my windows down and turned on interior lights before they approached, plus there would be 2 of them with spot lights and everything, it just pisses me off that there has to be people that will actuallly shoot cops and ruin tint for everyone, its kinda gay

while you may do that for pull overs, not everybody does. and you can't really put it into law that people have to turn on interior lights and roll down windows when pulled over..you could, but nobody would obey it. this is just easier.

besides, you can also have someone in the back seat that could be considered a threat. i imagine you only roll down the front window when they pull you over.

its just safer this way all around, for both you and for the cops. do i think it should be 70% there? not really, that's overkill on their part. but i do know and understand the laws and i agree with the reasoning behind them.

yeah i mean 35% isnt really that dark, i had 15% on my old car and it was nice but during the day if the sun was shining through the windshield it looked like i barely had any tint at all, but i always got pulled over at night time when they really wouldnt be able to tell if i had tint or not

Yep the tint laws were put into affect for the protection of officers. If you have to put your face to the window to see in, its to dark. And it looks like that car was a seizure. Its probably got a sticker on the back that says, "this vehicle was seized from a local drug dealer." Its just one way the dealers are paying it foward. In my old home town they have 3 big dodge dullies they seized and made into DARE vehicles. We use to have a seized IMPALA SS. You know one of the old ones with the LS1s. It was sweet, 150 MPH without a hesitation. That and it had air bags. It was great for the DARE car, and got alot of compliments.
