He's well to do and wants to trade for a grand am with 90,000 miles I would stay away from the cherokee the engine is solid but supposedly theres electrical problems with them, I like the wranglers thats probably the only jeep I would buy.

Is his daughter hot? I'd stay away from an 8 year old Jeep.

how many focking Jeep buyers out of the entire population off road

Once again, someone tries to retort to a comment and forgets although their answer sounds correct, it doesn't apply to anywhere near the norm.

You'd be trading a POS car that at least you know what is wrong/will go wrong/ has been fixed for a POS SUV that you don't know anything about.

If you can really handle driving a rough, poor-handling vehicle, and can put up with 15 MPG, then go for it. Oh, and they don't really have that much room in them at all.... there's almost as much room in a GA with the back seats down.

Start saving your $$$ if you get the jeep- lots of electrical problems and transmission problems. I wouldn't buy a Chrysler branded product to save my life.

We've owned a few in my family, and we never had any issues really, at all. In my personal experience, the Chrysler cars and trucks have had less problems then our GM's.

I chose not to get that jeep, I REALLY don't want a V-8. I have decided to keep looking for a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with the I-6. Chances are that I'm probably gonna get either dark blue, white, or hunter green one...not quite sure yet. I'm leaning more towards the blue.

^You're not going to get much better gas mileage by getting the I6 over the V8. The I6 design comes from a time when nobody really cared about gas mileage.

If you want a Jeep with better gas mileage get a used Liberty 4 or 6 cylinder.
