No, they're still 2003 model years - basically just anything that was actually made in 2003 (they started production of 2003 MY in 2002 like you said) - the easiest way to spot it is when you open the hood, you will notice the wire from the alternator comes off the top. Makes it a pain for strut tower bars, but can be done.

Also, like AznGA said, they did start cheaping out a little on the later models - no glove box lock, Mickey Mouse ears (unpainted alero mirrors), no lumbar, etc. But they did make some improvements - torqued chrometech rims, Monsoon audio, mp3 deck, better LIM gaskets, SCT Package, and of course the best part - Fusion Orange Metallic baby!

2004 GAGT sedan FTW, last year for it. Also has most of the 99+ bugs worked and all the latest tranny parts.

I think most people would disagree that they were an improvement.

I for one hate the torqued chrometechs. The old star shaped chrometechs were the best looking rims honestly on any pontiac IMO... only problem was they were only available in 16 inch... if they had 17 or 18 inch versions of these rims they'd be perfect. But still no doubt the starshaped chrometechs were the best.

I don't mind my new torqued chrometechs. Because it is GT exclusive. I hate how the newer SE's received older GT rims.

But anyway, I agree with the stock rim size being too small. GM put 16" rims on all of their cars: our N-Body, J-Body and even bigger W-Body. 17" should have been the standard for the GA GT.

Yeah that was really my only complaint on how my car looked. I drive an '04 cavalier with factory chrometechs on it now, and just like the GA only 16 inch, but on the smaller J-body, 16 inch doesn't look too bad, in fact it looks pretty much just right.

oh and i agree it sucks how the SE's got the old GT rims. Kinda took away from the exclusive "GT" look
