Amp - isn't 1 ohm stable, which is how I'd set it up w/ a solo baric. Get a better one.

Sub - I'd bounce for the s10l7, only a little more, better speaker, can handle more power. Also, don't put it in a ported box, sounds like garbage. The main purpose of the solo baric when they were first made and even today, is to make incredible sound in a small enclosure.

That box you linked is ****in huge for an 10" solo.. Recommended box sizes are on kicker.com. I'd go with a sealed box, thats what I have/had, it's tiny, easy to take out at the drag strip, and still pounds.

Doesn't say what voltage the pre-outs are on the head unit?

it was hard to pass up for 500$.. the head unit alone retails more

$500 used, is a different story. That's a good value for $500, if I were going new I wouldn't go that route tho. If I were you I'd pick up a sealed box.. relatively cheap and a good amount smaller. If you want to meet up w/ me one day I'll let you stick the s10l7 I have laying around in your car

Assuming you are running a single kicker solo dual 4 ohm your only going to be able to wire the sub in 8 (series) or 2 (parallel) ohms. Which means your kenwood 4ohm stable amp will cut out when bridged or if you run it at 8 ohms your not getting nearly enough output out of the amp. Get a new amp or run another dual 4 ohm. But then your still under powering so just get a new amp.

no. like most best buy installers the guy is a idiot. he thinks that your amp isnt just for the sub, but for everything. how or why he thinks that is beyond me. take it to a private shop, or do it yourself.

yeah im probably gonna need a new amp, if you wanna ship one to me that wo uld be splendid in a few weeks, meantime, this amp is blowing fuses...

the first time the sub was level +3 and 25 volume and pop instantly

after that i put the vol to 23 and sub would cut out, lower and raise volume to gain it back, today i put the sub to level 0 and raised up the volume to 20 it was fine for several minutes, got curious made it 25, burning smell burning smell burning smell sub gone

the amp blew another 40 amp fuse... can i just put a bigger fuse in the amp for now?

Return everything in your car, because you don't deserve anything besides stock if you are going to ask that.

Fuses have a very clear purpose.

Stop using that setup before you end up having to buy yourself a new sub too.
