hmm i am continuing to look into why its popping fuses, apparently they wired me up with 8 gauge wire...

amp specs say

Requires 4-gauge power and ground leads

is that why im blowing fuses?

I would put a barrel fuse and barrel fuse holder instead of a 40 amp fuse. They take current allot better. I would imagine you are blowing fuses because the amp is rated at 4ohms bridged and you have it at 2ohms.

well for now getting 4 gauge and barrel fuse/holder should at least stop the fuses from blowing until i get a new amp?

gonna need the 4wg anyway for a new amp ya?

either way, your going to want to run 4 gauge. its close enough to 500 watts, your going to want to upgrade.

Wire the woofer in series if you want to stop blowing the fuse. It's just to low of an ohm load. The amp is popping fuse because it's not meant to run at 2ohms. Meaning the fuse is doing it's job.
