Unless you're going high end or competition level, wire is pretty much wire - it's really only the guage that matters. Like Dewitt said, the only thing the higher end wire will really give you is flexibility and a little bit better resistance to line noise. But as long as you get a decent oxygen-free copper wire (most everything out there), you will be fine - especially for the power wires which don't conduct any sound. The RCA lines are the only ones that really matter as far as picking up engine noise, etc.

^^ To add to thet ensure you run RCA and power wires on opposite sides of the vehicle and never let on cross over the other and you should not get any noise. Again if you gonna try competition or bass race something along those lines anything will work. I personally am using Tiff and it cost me $4.29 a foot but I was running 13K watts. 162.4 on TL.

Choose what fits your budgett.

so are the amp kits from that KnuKonceptz just as flexible or what? like is it just as good as the "name" brands or is it cheaper for a reason

im most interested about their kolosuss line of amp kits and stuff

They are good kits. Flexible yes but not as good as Kicker. Man I would not steer you in the wrong direction.

right, that Kicker Dual amp kit was the one i was looking at. im prbly only getting the smaller speaker amp (hopefully this Orion Hp2400) now then im thinkin a US Amps Exterminator 1600.2 which is 400rms x2. um so what would you go with? that kicker dual amp kit or the KnuKoncepts one? on their website they have a 4ch kit that has 2 sets of RCAs, i just dont know what to do cuz i wanna save what I can cuz i hate buying this kind of stuff like wires and harnesses and like the sub box. stupid stuff u rele dont see a use for but like u gotta have it or u have nothing

Sounds right to me. By doing so if you ever need to go up with a higher wattage amp or decide to run a second battery you already have the wire you need.

no, one small amp for my 6x9s, and then the bigger sub amp; im lookin at 350rms subs by the way, not some monsters haha.

well i only have aftermarket rear 6x9s (Infinity 9613i) and the front doors are stock and i dont plan on replacing them anytime soon. but i want to amp my 6x9s cuz they're clipping and stuff and dont have enough power from the monsoon amp to pound out the lower notes and chords; plus im have volume issues that an amp would pbly fix.

how does an Orion Hp2400 amp for my Infinity 9613i sound? and a US Amps Exterminator 1600.2 sound for 2 MMATS P2.0 12"s? the 6x9s are 100rms and the MMATS subs are 350rms

Orion is a little bit too much power for the 6x9 you will cause them to clip by over powering them. The 1600.2 for the subs sound good. Are the subs dual 2 or 4?

the 6x9s are 4ohms and 100RMS, that amp puts out 85rms at 4ohms, so im set there. the subs are dual 4ohm voice coils; and they are 350rms

I always install 1/0 for the simple reason that the wire isn't that much more money, and it's the same amount of time and work to install. I bought the P3 stuff at PE when it was on sale, but if you are really cramped for cash go to your local welding supplier. You can find 1/0 there dirt cheap. If I had to do it again, I would have just bought the streetwires 1/0 amp kit.

I would avoid Knu's distro blocks. I havn't seen to many, and every one of their blocks I have seen were broken or close to broken. Just pure P.O.S. I've never had an issue with their wire though.

Partexpress has the streetwires firewall gromets for $6, this makes things very easy and locks the wire in solid.

There is a sticky about drilling through the firewall. A #13 unibit makes the job very quick and easy.
