Best GAGT in Germany (I may be biased...)
I finally got all the performance stuff I've been wanting for the last 4 years since I first brought my brand new GAGT home from the dealer. It's not much compared to alot of the gear heads here but it's pretty decent for a computer nerd like me. It's only been my daily driver since December when I bought the wife a Caravan and finally reclaimed the keys to the GAGT. Since then I've added a CAI, DHP and SLP along with some very modest appearance mods. I had a set of dual post mirrors but one of them broke and I had to go back to the mickey mouse ones. New dual posts are next on my list of parts. After that I hope to get some Eibach springs and if I can afford it down the road, a set of 18" rims (love those AT Italia Inox's
) Most of my mods were bought from people here and at GAOC so in a way, this car has been influenced as much by you guys as it has by me. I know it looks fairly stock but that's sort of what I'm going for. Until I can afford the SC/T kit and 18's it's going to look like most other GAGT's. It's when I hit the gas and make that motor purr that people will understand the love I've put into this car. 53K miles on it and not a single problem other than normal wear and tear. I'll keep driving this thing until it can't drive anymore. Forgive the pics, I know I should have waited until dusk but I had a GoKart tournament to go to and wanted to get a few pics before all the pollen settled on it again. Enjoy the beautiful German countryside visible from where I live. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Sadly, those are polished. The road that goes by my town has been under construction for the past month and I had ALOT of blacktop and tar on the rims. The only thing I could get to take that crap off was a green kitchen scrubber. That took alot of the shine out of the rims even though I polished them with Never Dull right before I took these pictures.
I figure I'll try to get some new rims next summer anyway (I'm deploying to Quatar in a couple weeks and won't be back until November so this summer would be a waste.) Once I get new rims these will become my winter set and I'll sell the steelies currently have for winter use. |

The US Air Force shipped it over here for me for free. I like the fact that there aren't many over here and there's only one other modded GA on the base I'm stationed at. He went for more appearance mods and has yet to get into the performance end.
The cool thing is I can drive it as fast as I want on some parts of the autobahn and I hit the limiter on it twice before I put the DHP in. I haven't pushed it past 130mph since putting the chip in though since I'd rather get some new rubber on it before I go that fast again. I did however manage to get a speeding ticket in the Caravan a few months ago. I was driving the MIL back to the airport so one could argue that I wasn't driving fast enough... |

I'm on the western edge of Germany near the Mosel river and just north of Trier. I'm less than an hour from the borders of Belgium, Luxembourg and France. I've been to Berlin a couple of times though. They really know how to throw a New Years party in that city!

Car looks great. Very few people get the change to drive a GAGT at 100mph leagly, live it up. How does insurance work over there? Do people ask you about it?
