Not suprised, I was at the Chevy dealer the other day pricing Impala SS (wife interested in a Cherger/300C) and I hurt my stomach for laughing at what they were asking. Then... out of curiousity I went by an Acura dealer and a Toyota dealer. You can get alot more car nowadays from Japan than before for the $$, well, at least GM is overpriced. Guess I will stick with buying used GM till they remove their heads from their asses.

I don't agree with that one. I think the "Jap Crap" is just as over priced. I don't feel you save any $$ buying one or the other anymore. Now A few year's ago that was a different story.

They are all overpriced.

All the safety nannies and power seat butt warmer/vibrator.....etc

I just want cars liek they built in the 60s............

If GM built a REAL CHEVELLE/IMPALL/CAMARO and it had an optional LS2 and an automatic AND NONE OF THE POWER JUNK I DONT NEED and they didnt kill us on price.........I would buy one....I suspect a lot of us would......i further suspect a lot of GM 's finacial problems would go away.

THERE IS NOTHING ON THE MARKET PRICED THE WAY IT IS TODAY THAT WOULD MAKE ME SPEND NEW CAR $$$$ ON ANY NEW CAR.

Corvette might be the exception, but even a base one with an auto still sticker for over 46 large.

I just don't think an Impala should cost the same or even close to the same as an Acura TL or similar!! V8 or not!! I can get a Subaru Legacy GT for almost 10 grand less than an similar equiped Impala "SS". I'd still buy a used GM car before I bought a new Subaru.

Side note: Hyundai has filled the void of value for the $$ that GM created when they decided to overprice their cars about 5 years ago.

60's Muscle cars are and were great but, I would like to have one only as a recreational car, not a daily driver etc... it would have to be an Oldsmobile 442. Olds is my favorite GM brand.
