That is much more than I expected! So the cheapest version will be about $24,000! I'll be looking into this car for sure. The S2000 doesn't stand a chance. Did they lose the mast antenna too, or just take it off for the pics? I'm guessing we will see low 5 second 0-60 runs and the quarter in the high 13's. Does it get a 6 speed transmission? Definately the best performance bang for your dollar... unless the gay ass dealers continue to mark them up.

I like this new GXP. The current S2000 doesn't stand much of a chance in terms of engine performance. But to be fair, isn't Honda working on a new S2000?

Not that I've heard, but 260 lb*ft out of a Honda 4 cylinder is a tough order to fill, even with a turbo.

um....... this thing is gonna suck to tweak and tune!!!!!!

However i can think of many things I want to do to rape thsi motor. Balance shaft delete, GT30R, new intake mani w/ ls2 throttle body, oversize valves and headporting, hack that computer and tweak that poor thing to give me what I want.

I think working with this damn thing is doable, just that pcm is scaring me.

These cars are sweet. A buddy of mine just got one, and here are some of the pics. The car is a little dirty, being that he lives on a dirt road. We drove it around today, and the damn thing is fast. The highest we got the boost was 19 PSI in second gear, and the highest speed we got it too was a little over 120 MPH but it still had more to go. we just ran out of room. It handles bad ass too.

Personally, I don't care for the rounded nose on the stock models. The only way I would consider buying a Solstice is if I had teh money to put the RKSport body kit on it.

This body kit is how Pontiac should have designed the car in the first place:

Well I test drove a Solstice GXP and a Sky Redline at the GM "Auto Show in Motion" and I have to say, i'm very impressed. The car handled like a dream and had so much power! Boost doesn't come in until it's least expected, because off throttle theres almost none but it kicks in like crazy.

I have to say the interior is WAY better in the Sky than it was in the Solstice. But I can't help but like the Solstice's exterior better than the Sky. The Sky looks exactly like a Vauxhall VX

maybe next year.

I liek the GXP and Sky Redline. Wife loves the Sky, and seeing it has the weight and power of my RX7 when it was stock in 1994, I have no doubt through time you could make either of these cars perform similar with upgrades. However, this car is not a daily driver. They really are sharp looking though.

Um, it's supposed to be a light weight 2 seat roadster that handles well. It's a sports car not a family hauler. If you want room get a minivan. Also a manual top takes up less room and is lighter than a power top, and in many cases power tops are so slow you can get out and put a manual top up faster.
