Duh.

In the instructions in the link earlier it said to loosen a bolt. I didn't see a bolt nor did I have to loosen anything to slide the PCM out far enough to see the serv. no. Am I missing something? For me it was as simple as pushing a lever outward.
Sorry about that... a How-to will be provided with all PCMs...

as for having to loosen a bolt.. that has to do with when you actually try to pull the wire connectors as they are bolted to the PCM....

ES Kit stands for "electronic shift kit"... the version # corresponds to the version of settings implemented... v1.2 is standard and all newer versions are specific to set driving types/mods/vehicles... we do not sell Boxed PCMs and so there is no way to receive this service alone unless you are local or are willing to bring your vehicle to us...

DHP sells a boxed PCM that requires you to have certain mods prior to the install of their PCM and ours are custom to the vehicle in question...

one thing that we for sure do not feature on our PCMs is "skip-shifts"... fact is we dont quite know how DHP does it and frankly dont care to know as I dont think that our transmissions (in stock form) can handle the abuse dished out by "skip-shifts"

Ok..but are the features such as skip shifting, trans press. increase, higher shift points and fuel/spark adjustments included or could they be?

fuel and spark tables are changed based on mods or lack thereof... shift points are adjusted to take advantage of mods and powerband of the vehicle... as part of the ES-kit service that is included with all PCMs the line pressure is increased as well as comanded shift time decreased and quite a few other things...

Got it! If anything I'd love to gain some fuel mileage out of this..don't know if that's even possible but geez...$3.61 a gallon for 87 is not cool!

you know i might do this and then we can follow up later since i live close enough if i feel like getting some of it tweaked..but i do have a question.

i have a Pro-M Maf installed right now, would you be able to tune for this or do you think it would be better if I just waited and we did this in person so you can see how the Pro-M Maf affects the tune and car?

I have modded 3 PCMs so far that were installed on cars with Pro-M's and 2 of owners (for whatever reasons) did not tell me that they were installed.. based on scanning there was not enough of a diff to warrant any changes being made to the PCM to compensate for its installation...

...you would just be better off leaving a stock MAF AND Screen in place as there is no way that 99% of the N/A cars are outflowing their MAfs and the screen actually allows the sensor to give more consistent and accurate readings to the PCM resulting in more consistent power and a safer motor...

AJ- as for tuning your car.. I woud just wait till we meet up so I can just dial it in as I always start from stock anyways so all changes made would be tossed and then I would dial in the car based on it current condition and mods...
