I just picked up a 4900 today. I can't wait to install it tomorrow! I'll try to get some pics up before/during/after.

Everything sony i owned broke. I had a higher end sony deck that stopped reading after a couple years. The amp worked for a year. (BTW i have a sony 2200GTX paperweight for sale, BRO) Now i have some kicker CVR's. I got them cheap on ebay, theyre brand new, just not waranteed by kicker. Amp was from a sale on cardomain. Its definately worth shopping around, and dont be afraid of ebay. In car audio you really get what you pay for. You'll regret something cheap. Also, build youre own box if you can. It will be just the right size and very cheap.

i want to spend around 650 for my subs, amp and box. i know this is low, but im saving for other things.

my expectations are pretty straight forward; blow anyone at my school out of the water. ive heard 12" Dual, 12" Kicker CVRs, 12" Infinity Refs (single voice coil tho) and 12" JLs and i think that i could do better.

i listen to Hip Hop/R&B with a little amount of rock on the side. I was thinking 12s would be the best choice.

I would like to stay away from ebay. i like onlinecarstereo, or crutchfield (pricey, i know)

Hifonics Zeuz 1006 amp (~200 on ebay) or US AMPS extirminator 1600.2 (same price about)

MMATS Pro Audio P2.0 12's (~240 for 2)-loud as hell for the money
amp kit, box about 120

um well go on their website and click on dealers. find one in your area so u can listen to em. if not there are a handful on ebay here and there and there is woofersetc.com that sells em at a decent price; but they arent "authorized" so u know.
i heard the P2.5s in a 12" and i listened for like 20 secs; and i already knew that quick wat subs i wanted. they look like a pure SPL brand, but these subs hit everything well. highly suggest.
just get an amp that can push em good; they are underrated so they can take more abuse than it sounds like.

yea ive heard alot of brands in the stores. the gay thing is they power every sub with the same Kicker 1500 amp so they make it sound good to trick you into thinkig thats what it would sound like when you bought it. the subs i had thought of getting were on that 1500 amp, and then he said "the amp you will get is a 600 watt amp." wtf?!

Just forget about getting 2 subs and get an Fi Q 12". Get a Hifonics 1606 to power it and your set. Throw about 1000rms at it and your doing about the same if not better then the other kids in your school and thats only one sub!

ok here is what i would do. i'd get the hell out of Circut City. find a local dealer that sells these, and take a listen.

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=4995

then theres the amp, i'd get this one, and not worry about your lights dimming, cause its the new ICE power
http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...roductID=16656

then i dont think you'd have much trouble getting a box for $50. i think i had mine custom made for that.

you obviously dont have to take my advice, but i'll i'm saying is there is more to audio then Circut City, mmats, and fi. what i've but together would be a hard little system to beat for your budget. and you'll be louder then what you've listed at your school. oh, and try not to show your system off too much at school, thats how it get stolen.

Seriously, it seems like so many kids pull up to their schools bumpin' as hard as possible just to show it off. Not only do they look retarded but they're the ones that get jacked. I turn mine down way before I get into the parking lot and woo no attempted break-ins. Others have had numerous attempts and successful ones too.

so your really limited. out of those i'd go Diamond. however, you listen to rap, so i'd go for JL. they make good stuff, but there really overpriced. which is why i dont recomend them.

if there is anyway you can check out
