Its not going to stop people from putting HID's in them... But your right, its the wrong setup, but people will still do it, I would, and still might.

if your gonna spend 300 to buy those things and get terrible light output why not spend a little more and get projectors mounted in your stock housing.

it will look 100 times better and they will actully WORK properly.

look at your avatar, see all that glare? that's blinding,
HID headlights have an elliptical shape to them and only the top portion of the reflector actually reflects, but halogen has way less light output, and the light is emitted closer to the base of the bulb i believe.

HID projectors have an elliptical reflector too, it's not round.

Thats also due to the camera, not just glare, as it looks nothing like that in person Im sure.

Too bad they don't give more information, like bulb size, or have an installed pic.

You dont know without seeing them. As most people wouldnt have a clue, or even consider the output before buying them. Most people with cars dont visit car forums to get opinions and facts.

One thing that can be done, is contact the buyers of some of these lights on ebay and point them towards this site, and ask for pics.

hey i got pics, ill post them either today 25th or tomorrow 26th. i mounted them, im happy and pissed at the same time. 300$ with 40$ ship is a little up there.
i wouldnt pay more than 250$ or even 200$ for them. there is a little mod to the car, you have to cut at the lamp bracket in the bumper. and the lamps are hard to level out and raise them to hight . they do look hot as all hell at nite. when ill post the pic it will be on a web site of my own. either:

music-player.dyndns.org
m-p.ath.cx
geocities.com/pcmann2004

try on the 26th

over all i rate these:
look A
quality B-
price C
