Pretty much. It'll all make sense once you get the door panel off. Here's a tutorial, looks like the one I used when I did mine (though I could've sworn it had pics):
HOWTO: Install 6.5 speakers in front doors invisibly

And here's my thread from when I did 6.5s in my doors (second post).
Introduction (and a couple of questions)

Like I said, once everything's in front of you it'll all make sense.

"Use a drill to predrill holes for the three holes that will actually contact the door and screw the bracket on."

Did you even look at the two links I gave you? The first one explains step-by-step exactly how to do everything. The second one shows my door install and plenty of pics. I also said, twice, that it'll all make sense once you pull off the door panel and look at it for yourself.

I'm always happy to help, but the endless barrage of questions that have already been answered for you, in THIS thread, by people who spent their time digging up the information for you and sharing it, is the exact reason that noobs get pointed to the SEARCH button at the top of the screen when they ask questions that have already been answered.

Correct. The pics in my thread are links to pics on my PB account, and they work. the HOWTO thread is not mine and the pics appear to be dead (I said that in my post above). Between the text in the HOWTO thread, the text and pics in my thread, and everything he's been given in this thread, he's got 10x the info most of us had when tackling this and way more than enough to figure it out 'once he takes the door panel off and sees it for himself'.

I just wish he read the info I gave him, he would've had all the answers he needed.

hass Still kinda new, but learning
Not to hijack the subject, but. I got some Infinity Reference 9623is, and 6022i.
Then I was looking On crutchfield, and they have Infinity Kappa's for 199.
I paid 159 for my 6x9...
So is it worth the extra 30 bucks?

I can't find any place around here to listen to them.
The one place was saying how Infinity are crap, rofl.
I was like wtf =(
You're not helping me any.
Looking for SQL, I don't like blasting my music until I go deaf.

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-WonDYz6...400&I=1086927I
Those are the Kappa.

*edit*
Think I might just return them both, and get Some Infinity Kappa's, that way I get the free wiring kits too, instead of spending more money there
