It looks like they took the GTO and added everything GTO owners asked for: center stack guages, navigation, racing style steering wheel, aggressive look- oh, and 50 more horse.

Also, if it does come into production, I doubt it will look like that.

Also2, the navi screen needs to be up higher.

Except the first picture in this thread is a photoshop, not to mention the G8 is a 4door.... oh well... perhaps they will bring the GTO or Firebird back shortly after the Camaro.

If you want to know what it is going to look like, go look up the HSV Commodore, that's what you are going to get but with Pontiac badges and a Pontiac grill.

If GM does decide to put these out, will there be one in your garage Bob?

I thought I read somewhere that w/ gas prices and all GM might scratch their RW drive cars.

Pontiac will make it less agressive looking, like what they did w/ the GTO.

Actually, its the new emmisions standards that are causing GM problems. From what Understood, the Camaro and G8 are still coming, but everything else is on hold until they start moving more fuel efficient cars, or can develope a more fuel efficient V8 to take up some of the slack. for all the cars they produce and sell, they have to have a certain average gas mileage. So say they sell 500,000 cars next years (totally made up number), the average gas mileage for those 500,000 combined needs to be 26mpg (another made up number). I dont know exact numbers, but Im pretty sure thats how the new standards are going to work, for now anyway.

So, if GM can start selling a crap ton of cobalts or hybrids getting 30-50 mpg, then they can make more and sell more rwd V8 cars. I think we will see the number of SUV's start to decrease over the next couple of years. Not that people will stop buying them, but automakers will stop offering such a wide variety, I think we will be seeing more cross-overs.

I didn't know that...what a nice little loophole I hate how the government is getting involved if I want to drive a gas guzzler I should have the choice to do so they should be getting involved to regulate the oil companies overcharging us at the pump.
