Ohh if you're talkin' about the 3rd from last picture, I think there was a tree right in the reflection of the hoods curve. I'm not too sure what the white-shadowy stuff is. I guess that's just how the pic came out.

Yup that's why 'MY' is capitalized and I thought the thread title deserved a better owner.

Man..white paint does not give you that accomplished feeling after polishing it. I think coupe said it best in a previous thread, white paint just looks "clean." I'm gonna do my moms navy blue Durango on Monday.

Me agrees x2341351..Problem is the paint has a huge chip under one of them. The previous owner replaced the fender and the body shop musta put it back on with super glue or something. I guess it was my fault for trying to remove a super glued badge with a hair dryer. Those were the first ones I went to take off and found the chip. It sucks a lot I hate them.

Thanks Yours looks greater.

If you look at that first pic it looks like theres a sillhouette (sp) of a person in the drivers seat. Well it looks like it to me..scares the sh!t outta me.

White paint always looks nice, but with a PC, it'll remove those swirls and scratches you see upclose. Things that you would only see if you were STARING up close wth the paint. Like I sometimes do..obsessive, I know.

Maybe..just maybe i'll let you drive the SS.

hah I'm the same way. Being obsessive FTW. Others may not notice it but it feels good to know I can look at every angle and not see the ugly swirlyness.

The side of the SS (doors and stuff) would probably shine like a mofo when all polished up.

Yeah they definitely would. I'm tryin to learn now, because I may have the sides repainted per a tsb about rock chips on the rear bottom sides being nasty. They re-paint and add 3M clear bra on those areas, but I only want it to be in the pre-buffed and claybarred areas only, not the raw unpolished areas. Hopefully they repaint but we'll see.

I started on my mom's Durango tonight. Just got the one fender done..

Left of the door line is the finished fender, right side is the untouched door:

Door before:

Fender after:

I didn't think to take any before pictures of the fender but it was actually worse than the door. I need to learn how to take pictures of the blemishes. How do you guys do it..flash on, flash off or what?

Goddamn in person I'm all pumped about the difference between the two panels but in the pics they come out like I barely did anything. How the hell do you catch the imperfections with a camera?
