You also do realise the meaning behind the idea of a Smart car? It's becoming less of a company name and more of a description for a certain class of car.

It's somewhat similar to how people now say NOS in reference to Nitrous, despite the fact that it is a company name. You use a name enough and give it a certain image, that image spreads to cover many similar things.

Not to mention the fact that Zap refers to their cars as "smart cars"...
